Yep.
Ford's inability to produce and dealer nonsense drove me to my fifth Jeep, so I'm happy to contribute to their numbers this year. Details of my order in my sig, which has to be a record for me for an ordered vehicle.
Supply chain problems, my ass.
IIRC, in an assembly line setting, all lugs are installed and torqued at once with a nutrunner contraption. Perhaps it was a glitch.
However, PDI should have caught a loose lug situation, which I believe this was.
Well, I'm glad I ordered a '23, I don't need no stinkin' big screen. Nice changes for some though. But they're not getting any cheaper.
Scoff all you want about Wranglers, but at least they can produce. My Rubi was ordered 2-27, and it sounds like it will hit the dealer on 4-12. Bam. Beats...
This.
I bailed on The Shitshow and ordered a Rubicon on 2-27. It was produced 3-31, with a tentative delivery of 4-12 as of today. And $5K under list.
I'll revisit Bronco once Ford figures out what's up.
If they drop the 2-door, they might as well scrap the whole model. I'll personally never buy a 4-door.
My Wranglers have all been 2-doors, and the second they hit my property the back seats come out and go into storage.
Yep. IMO, Bronco 2-doors should have had soft tops standard and hardtops optional, just like Jeep. That way Ford could soak the hardtop folks for a few bucks.
I debated responding further to this thread, but this response -- particularly the bold -- struck a nerve. I'm more so a Ford guy and have been for years (although I've owned many makes), but my last two attempts at buying Fords left me empty-handed and/or going elsewhere. I won't even get into...
OP, there are these things called Jeep Wranglers, and they're pretty great. I've owned four so far, and have my fifth on order as of late February and I'll likely have it in April. You might like one too.
I wanted a Bronco this time, but this board and Ford's ineptitude convinced me otherwise.
Yes. My '04 F150 FX4 RCSB was an absolute anvil for the nine years I owned it as a daily driver, not in the shop once outside one recall. My '15 Mustang has been great too, although it's a garage queen for the most part.
Since then, Ford's quality has definitely taken a dive. My '19 F150 hasn't...
Congrats on the new rig. We seem to have similar tastes, I wanted an Eruption Green 2-door Squatch, but due to Ford's inability to produce I ordered a Hydro Rubi instead. I ordered it 2-27 and am told it will be built late this week and I'll likely have it in late April.
I'll get a Bronco later...
The more time I spend on this board, the more I'm increasingly glad I bailed on ordering one of these and ordered another Wrangler instead. Wow. Never an issue with the painted hardtop on either of my JKs, but I ordered a ragtop on the latest one since it's not going to be a daily driver.
It's...
What a shit show. Never did hear back from my preferred dealer as to ordering on the 27th, but they seemed oblivious as to when/if the banks would open.
No need anyway since my 2-door Rubicon, ordered 2-27 (well under invoice), has a tentative ship date of 3-30. Ford doesn't want or need my...
Silly, no?
I ordered my Rubi 2-27, and just heard earlier today it's scheduled to be built around 3-30. I should have it by early May at the latest, according to the dealer.
Ford should be taking some notes.
This. My Rubi was ordered well under invoice. A 2-door Bronco comparable to the Rubi is considerably more expensive currently.
The slightly smaller footprint of the JL is a thing for me too. I never had an issue with highway manners of my TJs or JKs (had two each), so I have no concerns with...
Based on this "news", I'm glad I have a '23 Rubi 2-door on order. No need for more tech and frippery for my intended use of the vehicle.
(I'm waiting for the dust to settle on Bronco, hopefully Ford knows what it's doing by the time the 3/36 is up on the new Jeep.)
It's a mystery to me why Ford went with a standard hardtop on the 2-door, with the soft top optional. Some of us actually want the soft top first and foremost with no need for the hardtop. Jeep has had this figured out for years.
One of many reasons I just ordered a new 2-door Rubicon (those in...
The only thing wrong with a Gladiator is they don't make a 2-door with a 6.5' bed. If they did, I wouldn't have my '19 F150 RCSB.
Gladiators are looooooong....
