Look forward to the next one! Can't make 8/26. Can you drop a pin on this Big Sur route/road? Cheers

Would be interested but bridge tolls, commute in/out of SF and parking risk make this unappealing. Suggest you reconsider location if possible.
  3. 2 Door Slider Rear Windows via aftermarket?

Already an option here: Velox Bronco Gullwings | Offroad Alliance

@SS Bronco They turn on randomly while parked with the headlight switch on "off." Happens to other Bronco owners too according to these forums.

Headlight Assembly Switch: Anyone know local dealers that can access/install these? My dealer in Marin has been useless and I am willing to drive somewhere in the Bay to get this issue of headlights turning on randomly in the dark over with! The Ford parts (and aftermarket) seem sold out. Thanks.
  6. Bronco TSB and SSM Notices

So, some dealers have the actual parts and others, like mine, don't, nor do they even know what to do about it. Great. Thanks for the info-I might start calling around.
  7. Headlights and taillights coming on by themselves?

"TSB?" What is that term? I contacted my dealer with the notice Ford sent out about the problematic headlight switch and the service department asked if there was a recall. I explained there was a service notice, gave them the info, and its been 2 weeks since I've heard anything from them. Every...
  8. Bronco TSB and SSM Notices

This headlamp switch was supposedly going to be available in October (Message SSM 50842) but I haven't heard SH&T from my dealer. This is a huge problem for me-twice a week I have to go outside late at night to turn them off manually. That and the MIC rattle, the window rattle has tamped down...

Hey Pat-I thought you were also the "Alfa" Pat. I see that GTV in the back; I've got an 84 Spider. Great taste!
  10. We're going on a ski trip in California this winter. Caltrans says I need to have tire chains on board. Can anyone suggest some?

Any brand from your local NAPA or whatever auto parts store. You won't need them but they might ask to see them. I leave mine in the bag in the back when I go up-don't even think they are the right tire size since I changed my wheels. Separately, as some wheeler's will confirm, actual chains...
  11. Swap Base bumper for Sas or other trim bumpers?

I've looked through the forum and only found one discussion of swapping a Base capable bumper with the mod bumper and the owner had to use a Sawzall to remove the built-in shackles (just the ring part). Someone offered me a sasquatch bumper but I don't know how difficult the swap would be or if...

Yo that's me in the EG! Thanks man. Let me know when you guys are heading back. What I heard loud and clear was Hollister mud is the worst so maybe after the rains. October 1 is their next run but I can't make that. Cheers!

Did the clinic yesterday and highly recommend. Next one is in the Spring but they fill immediately when registration opens so keep checking their website. https://espritdefour.club/ They are running at Hollister on October 1. All the Bronco drivers found the obstacles pretty easy. I will say...

I would be interested in your mat but I can't make it Saturday. Maybe hit me on the DM with a price.

For those interested in learning to wheel (like me) Esprit de Four has opened their registration for the Fall safety clinic. See link here: Esprit de Four Let's get some Bronco's out there!
  18. Deepsleep mattress for 2 door Bronco (Proof of Concept)

Thanks! Is there anything unique about the deepsleep pad? Wouldn't any mattress work (I have a nice Exped). Great thinking with the foam underneath-this is a nice alternative to a tent on the solo trips!
