  1. Bad news about MIC 2.0 quality after a few days

I guess you missed the part where he was just quoting the person who stated that no tape or sealant would last a year in PA. It has nothing to do with using tape to fix this top issue. He or she was in no way recommending it to repair the top.
  2. Bad news about MIC 2.0 quality after a few days

Not defending them, but remember that during most of that time, the top was covered by a camouflage so it was not subjected to the elements like they are now. Also, hand made parts for test vehicles are not always the same quality as mass produced, machine made products.
  3. Road Armor's Rear Bumper and Front Stealth winch Bumper

Not much of a sale actually. They have 40% off quite often and sometimes 50% off. My guess is Black Friday will be at least 40%, if not, 50% off.
  4. Road Armor's Rear Bumper and Front Stealth winch Bumper

I called them on a couple of occasions for unrelated things and none dealing with issues I had mentioned. They were more technical installation questions prior to receiving the product and installation process. I didn't get a good impression of their customer service tbh. Don't get me wrong...
  5. Road Armor's Rear Bumper and Front Stealth winch Bumper

I just installed a pair of Road Armor Stealth bumpers on my Ram 1500. I would not call them a high quality set of bumpers. Tolerances are low, paint will chip if you look at it wrong, welds are not full length. Overall I would say they were merely okay. Not bad, but not good. They were probably...
  6. Warning: Bronco bolts strip easily

While it can be used to remove/install pedals, that bottom wrench is actually a cone wrench for adjusting hubs and road bike brake calipers. Pedal wrenches are longer to help remove pedals installed by gorillas.
  7. Toyota publishes "All you need to know" 4Runner vs Bronco comparison video

By that logic, unless you have a custom, purpose built vehicle, ALL vehicles are a collection of compromises if you want to do "hard core off roading". The Wrangler and Bronco included. So you might as well lump those in with the Explorer class competitors too.
  8. Winch solutions

I think he meant the weight of the Sasquatch is 5K lbs. Not that the tow rating of the Sasquatch is 5K lbs. Kinetic ropes are only useful when you have room for the recovery vehicle to perform the yank in a straight line. They are useless in rock gardens or on a narrow trail in the side of a...
  9. Grinding Noise

Does it happen only above a specific speed?
  10. Price difference between dealers stock and customer order

You're most likely looking at the Bronco Sport Badlands. It has the upgraded 2.0L engine over the base 1.xL engine. I don't even think any dealers have the full size Broncos yet.
  11. Help my Uncle IRA out with vehicle suggestions........Update: he finally bought a vehicle.

Maybe a used Honda Element or a custom interior van since he needs to withdraw all that money. Is he not allowed to just put it into a savings account or buy stocks/bonds with that money?
  12. I would rather have a nonremovable roof.

Honest question. What hard top options are out there that fit that description that can handle 35" or even 33" tires without mods from the factory for less or even slight more than the Bronco? I'm hoping that Toyota gets a clue and ups their game with the 6th gen 4Runner or whatever the Trail...
  13. I would rather have a nonremovable roof.

Not sure how to take that response. Are you insulting me and insinuating because I prefer a hard top that I'm somehow not good enough or my needs don't warrant the full on Bronco. Or are you trying to be funny or are you just ignorant of the difference between the two models? Is it too...
  14. I would rather have a nonremovable roof.

Why does it have to be either or? Ford could have had two designs. One with a removeable roof and one without. It's not like Ford and other manufacturers have not successfully designed and manufactured convertible and solid roof versions of the same vehicle before. I'm firmly in the camp of...
  15. Ford should offer this for the lovely Bronco.

Anecdotal evidence was not meant to be used as proof. It was just to point out that your argument that the 3:2 preference was due to the market wanting a removable top is not valid. I would think any reasonable person can see that. I was just pointing out there are other reasons outside the...
  16. Ford should offer this for the lovely Bronco.

Your arguments are not valid. Do you really think the only reason the Wrangler outsells the 4Runner because of the removable tops and doors? Could there be any other possibility? Say because it's a better off-roading rig? Or maybe some people just like the looks of it even with the top on? I...
  17. Ford should offer this for the lovely Bronco.

Again, why is that if someone doesn't want the removable top they automatically get a recommendation for a CUV or some other vehicle not built for off-roading like the Bronco? Why the assumption that if a person doesn't want removable doors and tops that person must not need a true off-roading...
  18. Ford should offer this for the lovely Bronco.

Ever try to fit a 35" tire in a 4Runner? Not that easy. Even 33" tires require quite a bit of work. Whereas the Bronco comes from the factory with 35" tires on some trims. Bronco engine has a lot more power than the 4Runner. Like I said, there are no choices in the Bronco price range that can...
  19. Ford should offer this for the lovely Bronco.

Personally, I would prefer a Bronco with a non-removable roof. I much prefer a moon-roof to a removable top. There is no other SUV that is as capable as the Bronco in the same price range that has a traditional non-removable roof. Why would past history of a vehicle dictate what can be offered...
  20. 2 Bronco Warthogs Spotted!

I'm assuming you know that BL with lift and 37" tires is not the same as the Warthog with 37" tires.
