I don't doubt you guys and what the Ford dealerships are telling you, but I had the syncros replaced a year ago and the problem went away.
While I realize that others had the same thing done and they said the noise returned, there are others who also have not had the noise return.
I don't...
Almost a month in with about 1,000 miles on the -D fix and still no noise. The weather has been warm lately, but I was having the noise regardless prior to the fix.
I think yours is the only one that had the synchros replaced with -D and the noise has come back. I could be wrong though. I'd take it back and have them do it again or have them install the updated transmission when available. Today is week 3 for me and still no noise. It was 37 degrees...
Just got my Bronco back after the TSB. Dealer confirmed up front that it was the rev -D synchros and confirmed on the paperwork.
So far so good... no noise. I'll update in another week. 🤞
🤞
Maybe i missed it, but what are the qualifications to get offered the buyback / Cash & Keep? I'll go aftermarket tranny before I ever give up my Bronco, so just curious.
Couldn't agree more. There's quite a few of us that have our vehicles in now for the TSB repair. In another month we'll have more info to get a better feel if it's a fix or not. Mine is supposed to be done by the end of the week.
Not sure how my dealer was able to get a roll pin. They did initially order the TSB parts in January, so maybe it was available then. They were ready for me to drop the Bronco off when word came out about the -D synchro so they had to wait 3 more weeks for that to come in.
Whew. I missed that. Thanks! Today is day 3 for the repair and no call yet from the dealer. I'm hoping that's good news and that I get the call today saying it's ready to pick it up. He told me 'it'll be a few days' when I dropped it off.
Seeing your post along with others doesn't give me a warm feeling that I'm not going to get a call today or tomorrow from my dealer telling me the same thing (it's in the shop now). I'm wondering if the roll pin always needs to be replaced during this TSB repair or just sometimes? If always...
