I bought a case of the stock filters when I bought the truck. Anything that'll fit on the filter mount could theoretically be used. You'd just need to mount it such that it's not vulnerable to trail damage. The beauty of DIY is you can choose any filter mount your heart desires.

They were a little stiff going on, but haven't posed any issues to date. Ford didn't have anything available last Summer when I did mine, so I was left to what I could cobble out of the myriad connectors in existence.
