For all of you Mac users out there, I successfully used Forscan with my Mac laptop to reprogram the double honk, panic button, bambi mode, and audio EQ.
I got the OBDLink EX from Amazon. Software was Parallels Desktop for Mac (2 wk free trial) onto which I installed Windows 10 (free iso disk...
I haven't read all 80 pages of this thread, so apologies if this was already answered.
I'm looking at either Kit 11-2 or Kit 14 which both have the 17ft high level extension. Question for the peanut gallery, what is the source of the signal for the 17ft extension? The picture shows 4 wires...
Wow! Thank you so much for that detailed explanation! I can see you've invested a lot of thought and effort into the solution. I'm not liking my current bracket because of the 1/2" gap at the lower edge like you mentioned. I'm bookmarking this thread for when you have updates!
My badlands sasquatch is almost 74" tall and the roof rack adds another 4" = 78"
The car was too tall to fit in some public garages, oops! Rack is now sitting in storage.
I have the reverse light kit with SSC1 Pro's, really bright. Does anyone have any ideas on how to keep it from washing out the back up camera at night? I'm going to try to aim them off to the sides a bit to see if that helps.
I didn't read the whole thread so excuse if it's already been mentioned.
The turn signal reset is way too sensitive on my Bronco, drives me nuts.
You only have to turn the wheel a few degrees off center and it triggers the reset. So for any type of complicated turn (like moving to a protected...
Hi! I've been having fun reading everyone's posts.
My daily driver for the past 25 yrs has been a 1997 4Runner SR5 5-sp manual. Mildly upgraded with OME springs and shocks, BFG KO2's, nerf bars, deck plate mod, and some security mods after my catalytic converter was stolen by some tweakers...
Anyone have suggestions on what kind of lights to put in those positions? I already have a SS3 Pro SAE yellow fog kit, so definitely putting those in. But not sure what to use in the other slot. I guess the logical choice is the SAE driving lights, but is anyone considering something else...
What happens to vehicles that are totaled out like that? Junkyard or are they resold as salvaged vehicles?
I live in CA so no experience at all w/ salt water flooding. Just fires and quakes out here...
Agree with above. I've run both 10" and 12" subs over many years. My preference is a 12" sub in a sealed enclosure. Goes deeper than a 10" and the sealed enclosure keeps it from being boomy. Also depends on your music preferences. Jazz and rock would do fine with a 10", but if you're leaning...
Question #1: Does anyone have ideas about whether the reverse light kit is compatible with license plate relocation brackets that use the spare tire location? Seems like they occupy the same space.
Question #2: Is the red backlight active continuously or just when the headlights & tail lights...
I installed some SS3's into my capable bumper a few months ago. OP is correct that you can't adjust up/down because the bezel rests flush against the plastic surround.
After some trial and error, I put some flat washers in front of the lower mounting points, which causes the SS3's to aim...
Hi Everyone!
I have a set of OEM rock rails that I removed from my 4dr Badlands shortly after delivery. Rails were removed at ~300 miles driven, still in original condition with no dents or dings. All brackets and mounting hardware included as shown.
Ford website lists these rock rails as...
I posted pictures on a different thread discussing the trail sight rust issue. Looks like a bad batch of bolts. Dealer says the bolts are on backorder. While I'm waiting, I sanded down the existing rusted bolts and sprayed them with some rustoleum. It'll work for now...
Hi Everyone:
I took delivery of my Bronco 5 days ago and instantly noticed rusted bolts on the front trail sights. Worried that this might signify hidden issues, I took a look underneath and found the entire drivetrain rusted -- both front and rear driveshafts and both front halfshafts look...
