I feel so dumb for getting all worked up now. My wife says that since I waited for almost 9 months to get it, Iām basically like a new parent with a baby. Thanks everyone!
Thank goodness. Just got a call from my salesperson and they said the service manager reviewed the codes in Ford Pass and is hopeful it is just a spark plug problem. But they will hook it up to the diagnostics computer tomorrow morning.
Sorry for my panic.
I went up today and had it towed back to the original dealer. Took a minute to check the engine sticker and looks like Iām in the danger engine group.
Sorry, Iāll calm down. I want to believe! In the 12 hours I had mine I absolutely loved every single bit of the design and I sincerely hope I am happily driving this Bronco for the next 8 or 10 years.
My grandpa retired from Fordās Cincinnati plant in 1978 and my Dad never drove anything else...
What does this mean in terms of engine problems? More likely to have some kind of connector issue or random electronics problem? Or more likely to have a major mechanical issue with the engine?
Well the dealership they towed to called today and told me they were treating the Bronco as an unscheduled āwalk inā service and wonāt look at it today. So my next step is to call the dealer I got it from to see if they will go pick it up and expedite it.
Ford Roadside towed it to the nearest dealer Friday afternoon. I am waiting to hear back.
It was perfect Thursday. I remote started it in the garage Friday. I noticed it had a little exhaust and was idling rougher. But the weather was cold so I assumed I had missed it. Drove it about 3 miles...
