  1. Dark Horse ordered

The Bronco is getting a stablemate. I just placed my order for a Dark Horse, manual trans, Recaros and the handling package. I've been eyeing this for a while now, really interested in it. Friday I went to the dealer to pick up a new air filter for the Bronco, chatted with the GM and ended up...
  2. Heated steering wheel went on the fritz

It's getting cooler and having a heated wheel is a really nice benefit. The first couple times I used it, it was great. Nice and warm, all the way around. The last couple days, only the top of the wheel is warm, and the rest is barely any heat at all. I'm calling the dealer about it, but...
  3. 67 Designs and Archetype Racing - matches up really well

It’s a combination that works really well and I like the options I have now. Archetype Racing SLAP combined with 67 Designs carbon fiber arms and a Bronco Ball. I’ve got another arm waiting for AR’s BALLS and I’ll have a place for something else like a GoPro. I also got AR’s Badlands plate and...
  4. Bronco comes to a full stop by itself

This surprised me. I was in 4H leftover from the weekend camping trip, just hadn't switched it back. Normal mode, just 4H. I went to meet my wife for dinner last night, and was rolling through the parking lot, foot off the throttle. I slowed down a little and started to turn into a parking...
  5. Sticker on back window

So does this mean I have hard top number 53,069? Maybe I should leave it there for future value. Yeah right. LOL
  6. My 2 door Bronco weight (on a vehicle scale) = 5180lbs

I stopped by the recycling center today and after unloading, decided to go through the scales. This is a 2 door Badlands Sasquatch with me and a half tank of gas. Now I see the LED scale readout didn't make the pic, but it was 5180lbs.
  7. Anyone install the wide Ford Black Textured Fender Flares ?

I'm seriously thinking about these flares. I have always liked the riveted look, and to my eye they look a lot better than the flat SAS flares. Anyone have these, and what do they look like on a SAS-equipped Bronco? On a 2-door? Is the width similar to the stock SAS flares, or are they a...
  8. Leather separation from seat handle

Hadn’t seen this one before. The leather has pulled away from the seat handle. We’re about to leave on a 3 week road trip so it will have to wait until we get back, but we’ll see how it goes. I’m not optimistic that it’s something that can be fixed quickly.
  9. Eco what?

I took a little drive today, one that I take a couple days a week. And I decided to try a little experiment. I drove up in Normal mode and drove back in Eco mode. I didn't drive any differently than I always do, mostly highway with the cruise set to 73mph and the windows down (hey it was a...
  10. PSA: Check your lug nuts!

I had the front wheels off today to install the JKS tie rod sleeves (easy job and peace of mind going wheeling), and wow the lug nuts were not what I'd call tight. I put the fronts back on and torqued to 100 ft-lbs per the manual. Then I checked the rears and was able to put a decent turn on...
  11. Georgia Sold: NEW Bestop Trektop 2-door

This is a brand-new, still-in-the-box, never-installed, Twill Bestop Trektop soft top for a 2-door Bronco, SKU: 5687217. Bestop sells this for $1,872.49 as of right now. I paid a bit more than this because I bought it from the dealer, but my loss is your gain. After a few weeks with the hard...
  12. 8cam's 2-door Badlands

Been waiting a long time to start this thread. I picked up my Bronco this past Monday and crossed 100 miles today. Yeah I know, nothing big yet but I'm really happy I finally have it in my garage. So far mods are minor but significant to me. We'll get to bigger stuff later. From the factory...
  13. Breaking down the hard top

My bronco is being built....today! And I'm starting some planning. I've seen some great solutions for hoists and storing the intact hard top. In my case, I have a 2-door and don't plan on using the hard top pretty much ever. I'm installing a Bestop soft top immediately upon delivery, and I...
  14. Disabling the nannies

Let me start this by saying, I really enjoy *driving* and by that I mean, two hands on the wheel, never use my phone, rarely turn on the stereo. That includes things like proper signaling, good lane discipline and generally doing things the right way. It's how my wife and I drive, and how I...
  15. Holy crap I got a VIN and a build date

Ordered back in October, been lurking here for a while, finally decided to register and post a few days ago. And BAM! Today I got a VIN and a build date, 5/16. Tell the truth, this site is where you get priority, right? Apparently I needed to register here. Why didn't the dealer tell me...
