The interior latches between the rear and front piece are definitely at interesting design... the operate on adjustable tension.. so in one school of thought, its better than OEM as they allow compensation for any warping that may occur as time wares on... however, they do not seem to be the...
I have taken delivery of what is one of the first (if not the first) production aftermarket hard top.
This is a two piece hard top from RallyTops - costs about $4,000
The hard top came delivered in some very poorly constructed wooden crate contraption that took an hour to disassemble and break...
My bronco started doing this a few weeks ago. I always leave the switch on Auto. Never had issues. Now the lights will just randomly come on when I turn the truck off and go to exit. even in broad daylight. Just did it in the parking lot right now.
real glad ford will supposedly fix this in...
Don't do anything stupid and modify your frame and also destroy your approach angle..
THIS is what you want. Easy to install. Works perfectly. Pulled my buddy out day one,.

Yeah, unfortunately my local dealerships try to do as little work as possible...
they currently are refusing to fix the window rattle even though there is a service bulletin on it
After falling victim to Webasto's short comings and failing to produce even close to enough hard tops, ford is now failing to provide the aftermarket with the data necessary to help quell these problems.
Below is taken directly from a conversation with Patriot Fastbacks today 6/8/22

Mine JUST started to have this issue, among others.
6,000 miles and suddenly the engine rough idles, and makes a lot of sound that it didn’t previously.
Soft top? SQUEAKS. How?
Steering wheel crack has formed (many have mentioned this prior)
Have a very similar build regarding the roof lights… they add HELLA turbulence with a soft top and raise the sound by 10 dcb. Same thing with a hard top?
Reason I would be ahead is the following; Ford dealer had my vehicle for 6 business days and legitimately did not work on it. No loaner given.
If I could actually get the damn work done, and have me truck back in a reasonable time or be given a loaner then sure I wouldn't even bother pondering...
Received a letter jointly from Ford/Roush today requesting that I voluntarily give them my vehicle for emissions testing conducted at the Allen Park Roush facility.
Standard stuff, but I have never been asked to participate before.
They want to give $200 - a loaner vehicle and return the...
This is what I figured; everyone’s is reacting the same way. Meaning these are the split lines and as you mentioned, they are made too weak for this design.
What’s comical is that we on this forum are educated and aware of the issue - don’t even work for ford. But when I go the a presidents club...
UPDATE:
dealer agreed to repair it; got it approved under warranty. Here is the kicker though - they had my bronco for TWO WEEKS and do nothing aside from getting it approved. Just told me they won’t have the part until June 8th and to come pick up my ride
I know this thread is almost old enough to vote - but I just now started having this issue.
Right at 6,000 miles and right as the weather warmed up here in Michigan.
For me its the front drivers side, horrible squeak that sounds a lot like two pieces of Styrofoam rubbing together. When I have...
