Its funny since i always wondered the opposite, why do people need so badly that pop top on a vehicule that has been designed to be a super capable offroad machine? :D
But hey, its nothing new here and in all honesty i think i understand why, plus without you pop top guys, offroad enthusiasts...
Apart from the price, i really like the Defender, its a super capable, more polished truck.
Am i interested in a Defender and would i buy one? Maybe yes but it would have to be a 4 cylinder lower trim.
The fact is that im a Ford guy, and in stock form, my Badlands Sasquatch is probably more...
Well, im a bit surprised so far by the higher than expected number of people who would like a fixed roof.
But it still confirms that just like jeeps, most folks will buy the Bronco as a "convertible" toy more than for his awesome capabilities, no surprise here and nothing wrong with that!
I agree, a factory 1 piece option could be good.
Some things that would be nice with the fixed roof are the sound deadening, , structural rigidity, less rattles etc...
The fact is that most Wrangler and Bronco owners buy those things for the "open top" experience.
Jeep themselves estimated that only 10-15% of their wrangler customers will take their wrangler offroad, so most people actually dont even buy them as offroad/overland machines.
They have to build...
Never been a fan of convertibles but i also understand that a lot of people probably bought the Bronco for that specific reason, thats just not my case, i bought it mainly for its capabilities.
I also think that the Bronco SHOULD have the removeable top by default, but a fixed roof option would...
Hi, after a year of daily driving my Badlands Sasquatch Bronco i have a good idea of what i like vs what i do not like about the truck.
I bought this truck first for its capabilities, size and looks and overall id say i really like it, probably the best vehicule ive owned so far.
With that...
Ive put the $$$ Ford front mudflaps on mine because of this issue, should come from factory if you ask me, its just ridiculous.
But they did the trick.
Im considering PPF as well for offroading....
I just did my first "real" trail ride with a jeep group today and honestly the Bronco did an awesome job!
I was the only Ford in there :D
So much traction with the Badlands sasquatch it climbed everywhere, the only thing i was worried was hitting rocks under the truck in some sketchy sections...
