Trying to find overall length of the 4 door bronco compared to our 2018 Expedition (standard length not XL)
Can anyone help?
Placed a reservation for a 4dr Friday
Wish the FIRST Edition was available but it is not so will have to load up a Wildtrack when I order instead
Probably be next year...
Hi All
Considering a 2022 Bronco with 2.7L etc etc to replace our 2018 Expedition with FX4 & HD tow
Currently we have custom 4" memory foam canvas inserts we lay on the folded seats as beds for our two large dogs
Have not been able to find anything regarding the rear area
Do the seats lay flat...
Jones Ford in Buckeye has a lower tax rate than any of the dealers in the greater Phoenix area
Was buying from Peoria Ford until I tried Jones
Purchased 4 new vehicles from them in the last 6 years
Have not checked with them on new Bronco
Waiting for the Raptor Bronco
Might be worth checking...
Hi All
See many of you live in Iowa
Grew in Perry Iowa about 20 miles from Grainger
But now retired & live in Western Arizona (about 60 miles west of Phoenix)
Have cooled & massaging seats in all of our vehicles
Have a 2018 Expedition & 2020 Explorer St
Getting ready to trade our expedition soon...
I would thank everyone for your input.
Interesting information from North 7
Some very interesting items
5:38 axles are interesting along with the calibrations
I was sure Ford would offer calibrations because the potential for the ECOBOOST engines is so underutilized with the factory calibrations...
Well I just went to ford.com
A Bronco equipped as close to my expy. as possible is about $64K
It would have to be equipped like a first edition & several options
Understand it is not currently available
Like the looks of the the new Bronco
BTW
I do my own recalibrating with the software & OBD...
Hi All
75 year old retired automotive fuel systems engineer
Have a 2018 EXPY & a 2020 Explorer ST
Both recalibrated for over 550 hp
If I were to purchase a Bronco it would have to have the following
4 door version
2.7L V6 & 10spd auto (both recalibrated for at least 500hp)
4.7 axle ratio...
I have purchased a 2018 Expedition, a 2018 F150 & a 2020 Explorer ST from Jones Ford in Buckeye AZ in the last 2 years
They were much better to work with than Peoria Ford & their sales tax rate was lower than the large dealers in the city
I would bet you could get a fair deal from them
BTW does...
Hi All
Want a 4 door hard top raptor bronco with a 450hp 510lb ft torque 3.5L ECOBOOST
4.7 axle ratio
30 inch tires
Fox shocks
10 Spd 10R80 trans
Heated & cooled contour seats
Navigation
0-60MPH around 4 seconds or less ??
I have had no such issues with any of my vehicles
However I always reprogram (tune) my vehicles
The recalibrations vastly the throttle response & the trans programming as well
But also know a lot of people who have them stock with no issues
You probably do not want to hear this from me but I...
Literally thousands of vehicles with that 10sp transmission
Actually very few issues
Both GM & Ford use it
I own 3 vehicles with it & no issues
Not sure where you heard it was troublesome because that is not correct
Will always be Turbo's for me
N/A engines lose 3% HP & Torque for each 1000' above sea level
Turbo's will produce the same power at 14,000 ft as they do at sea level
Supercharged engines use a positive displacement compressor so they also lose power at the same rate as N/A engines
The 2.7L...
I would never own a Jeep unless I replaced the engine & trans with something more ROBUST
Not interested in a blown hemi
Just a good dual turbo V6 or a good turbo diesel
N/A engines become very anemic at high altitudes
The standard Jeep engines are somewhat lackluster at sea level
Not sure if anyone has considered the option of tuning the 2.7L
When it is recalibrated the trans is as well
I have had 3 vehicles with the 10 speeds now
All of them were recalibrated along with the engines
Makes a world of difference
Takes all the sloppiness out of the shifting strategy ?
The one you have circled I believe is the information for the CS hp & Torque for the stock 2.7L in 2018
You can get about a 30-40% increase in hP & Torque with a quality recalibration (tune) with premium
Not that the HP & torque figures quoted above for the 3.5L is the E50 (50%) ethanol...
Note I stated that the diesel when tuned produced more torque than my 3.5L gen II ecoboost before tuning
you misread my comment
Now the 3.5L gen II engine is not available in the Bronco series only the 2.7L
So my "FACTS" are correct
If the 3.5L was available that would cinch the deal for me...
Still interested in the 4 door Bronco
Must have at least the 2.7L with 10spd transmission available with low enough axle ratio so I can tune it & get close to 4 second 0-60mph times
Would consider trading our Expedition for it if the right options are available
Absolutely not interested in any 4...
OK GUYS SOME ACTUAL FACTS HERE
3.0L F150 Diesel is not slow
I drove 2019 F150 for a week while my 2018 EXPY had warranty service on the seat brackets
I can attest to the fact is was as fast as my EXPY before the tune was installed
Modern common rail Diesels Do not stink or smoke even when tuned...
