Thanks everyone. Now I know. Glad to have sussed that out before heading up. I'm sure I'll miss my MT. But I'm sure it will awesome in any Bronco they hand off.
Hi All,
I'm scheduled for a November New Hampshire Off-rodeo and wondering what folks think about the pros and cons of taking my own ride out vrs a supplied bronco. I'm leaning towards taking my own ride out on the trail. I know that the Badlands has a few tricks that are specific to the trim...
I haven't had this issue with my Bronco. But when I was given a rental car during servicing, it was a Ford Eco Sport that had the exact craziness. And of course it was raining on the day I drove it.
Sounds like a great offer. Quick question (sorry if it's been covered - there's 3 dozen pages here): is this offer exclusive for the bronco6g community and if so how do we identify ourselves while filling the online form? Thanks!
Damn. Sorry to hear. But to answer Undescended's question, knowing what I know now I'd still opt for manual. That could change if Ford really never tackles this correctly. But I have a hard time believing that will be true.
Do you have the old #? I just today picked up my bronco from the service center with a new tranny swapped in. part # on receipt is listed as: MB3Z*7003*A. so far so good. the throaty roar of the engine doesn't have any extra chatter. but we'll have to see where we are a few hundred miles down...
that's not too bad a wait if you able to keep the car till parts arrive. for me, it took 5 weeks to be seen. but once I did last week, they IDed the problem and got Ford on the same page re full replacement. took 1 week for trans to arrive and they just called to say I can pick it up. fingers...
Hey Ray, how has the swapped in trans been working for you? This thread you started is up to 75 pages but I don't think I've seen you follow up since the Spring. Steve currently has my Bronco in the shop and was able to angle for a new trans, rather than the TSB fix, due to its young age (420...
I just signed on with the same report. my badlands clocked in at 420 miles when the issue showed up. Replacing the whole thing tomorrow AM. Apparently the Ford engineers are swayed by the ripe young age of the vehicle, tho based on other posts here, not all service centers made (or won) that...
I poked around the DD website and found this. under the installation tab. " Tools Needed: T10 Torx Bit "
https://www.diodedynamics.com/yellow-lens-for-stage-series-c2-pods-one.html
Thanks for the follow up Adam.
Doh! on the SS3 rotate. Of course.
I picked one of these up from you to handle the modular bumper bolts. I haven't tried it, but the tiny screws on the back of the SSC2 bezel seem much smaller.
Thanks. A few videos on installing these and other aftermarket...
Hey All,
Black Friday arrived a New York Minute after taking delivery of my Badlands 2-door. I was surprised (my bad) that there were no fog lights and I didn't fully have time to consider my options before placing an order for my fog light kit. I've revisited my choices since the DD kit...
I visited my service garage for a quick ear-to-the-hood moment and when they heard it was a manual told me it's be 60 days before they could take me and BTW they don't think their guy "ever worked on a manual trans." I booked a January appt with a different service center a few minutes later.
thanks for the follow up. I just walked back to the computer to add an update. after fussing for the better part of an hour, I wrote that post. after hitting send I worked for another 2 minutes and suddenly the SS3 popped into position. I don't know how. but I'm guessing that writing the post...
This is the combo I ordered. Is there a trick to getting those DD brackets to sit right into the Off-Road Flush Bezel? When attempting to mount flush, the SSC2's seem tight to the bottom of the bracket opening to the point that aiming them downward does not seem possible, unless I push them...
