I have the fab fours skid plate in the front with their bumper, it was like 500 bucks by itself. I really don't want to get rid of it, but I'd like the set of these without the front, is that going to be a possibility in the future, to order individual pieces?
I just got my own bronco back from following the guide @Just_Jim published on the forums. Shop that did mine mounted it a bit different than Jim did because on the 2.7 there is an extra brace due to the length of the engine, so they fabricated me a custom mount.
I went from about 13MPG to...
It's not really negative equity if that's the value of the vehicle. Insurance companies are paying these prices out, private parties are getting damn near this now too. It's the current market. Assuming one day in the future it may drop in value is with any sale, but as of right now, buying...
I'm guessing because although there is nothing wrong with going in a straight line with lockers engaged, people don't understand they can't bind them, so they turn, or forget, or just don't care. No matter how many times we say " we don't do that " there are a million other idiots that will do...
I don't think so, Just_Jim doesn't have advanced 4x4, everything does bolt-on, but without the fad, there is no 4wd since the truck is expecting the fad. He attempted to add the FAD back hoping that it would fit, and it did, except for the shaft that's a bit too long. AT this point, the only way...
Again, it's not really about " Sas ". My reasoning for the upgrade is to get better MPG, I'm not even wiring in the lockers. However; you can't purchase the 4.73 without lockers. This thread is clearly about swapping axles, so the anecdotal " Just go buy something else " isn't really the answer...
Realistically, this isn't even an issue with " sas ", because the 4.46 m210 also would have this issue. So pretty much any axle you move up to from the stock 3.73 axle is going to have this issue. So clearly Ford intended for this to be a software fix.....Ford just won't share what the software...
M means mandatory, and 3 is the sasquatch package. So in order to get the 4.73 you had to have the sas mandatory I guess. I've attached the full image so you can see the legend
CYA I agree, but it also allows them to say things like, sorry, can't support that. My local dealer says that if i put the parts on and it's not made for my bronco, then they have no reason to support me with it. I tried to get information from ford performance to confirm I only need normal 12v...
The guy on the phone had zero idea what to do, he suggested I email the " super secret ford engineering email " and wait for a reply. I've already done this, and I believe Just_Jim did too and neither of us have gotten a reply. He did insinuate it may take weeks, not days, so I guess we wait.
I've seen a few people make note that this is what ford intended, however; I disagree. The website is very clear about what those parts are for.
