  3. Bronco Team Engineering Confirms 7.0 Quarts for 2.7L Engine Oil Change is Correct

Bingo. Any service manager will do anything in their power to deny, deflect and counter accuse when dealing with an engine replacement. A service manager called this "fine" after one of his techs filled a prefilled replacement engine with 200% of the oil capacity.
  4. Bronco Team Engineering Confirms 7.0 Quarts for 2.7L Engine Oil Change is Correct

This is about as clear as mud. So Ford is aware that some owners (myself included) are seeing that 7 quarts reflects as 1 quart above the maximum line. Yet they have no idea why? And while they don't know why this is, we should distrust the dipstick and blindly put in 7 quarts? It'll be comical...
  5. 2.7 Oil Change: Took 6 Quarts Not 7

Then we file a class action lawsuit against Ford for supplying a faulty dipstick that showed 6 Quarts as full.
  6. 2.7 Oil Change: Took 6 Quarts Not 7

There is room to (barely) get your hand in above the bash plate to screw on the hose. No need to pull the bash plate.
  7. Pinch Weld Cover-Up: Don't Use Adhesive Trim

No door sill coverage in the box.
  8. Pinch Weld Cover-Up: Don't Use Adhesive Trim

Yes, zero issues with the steps and the rocker armor coexisting. It's a bit of a pain installing with the steps still on but I made it work.
  9. Pinch Weld Cover-Up: Don't Use Adhesive Trim

Yep, these should be standard. Held up through Moab and Colorado.
  10. Pinch Weld Cover-Up: Don't Use Adhesive Trim

I bought these through a dealer's parts department with my FordPass points.
  11. Low Coolant & Sweet Smell Outside Vehicle

Just got back from the Moab Off-Roadeo, ALL of the Broncos there reeked of coolant like ours. So not sure what's going on but it's definitely a larger issue.
  12. Pinch Weld Cover-Up: Don't Use Adhesive Trim

I can confirm the rocker armor fits with the factory running boards. (Swapped out the rock rails on our First Edition) It has robust drainage holes, it only covers the "face"/doesn't wrap below, it is very well secured and looks like it should have from the factory! This is way better than the...
  13. AZ Dealerships

Yes, ours came in on BNSF.
  14. Pinch Weld Cover-Up: Don't Use Adhesive Trim

Been looking through old posts about covering up the unsightly pinch weld. It's fully exposed with and without steps and mostly covered up by rock sliders. I'll make it easy for those thinking of following the advice of others; Do not use adhesive trim strips to cover up your pinch welds. Ford...
  15. Grabber Blue lobby campaign for 2022 Bronco

I feel obligated to call out @Ford Motor Company to include Grabber Blue at minimum as a Heritage Edition color.
  16. Low Coolant & Sweet Smell Outside Vehicle

(Most) Service Departments are about as capable as a Jiffy Lube. The newness of the Bronco makes repairs even harder thanks to parts unavailability, unfamiliarity and service manual errors.
  17. Low Coolant & Sweet Smell Outside Vehicle

I have the 2.7. I can explain for that...I know I'm a rarity but it's been off-road and it's first bath off the lot wasn't with a hose. You should have seen the engine bay afterwards before I cleaned it. I will wipe the mud and muddy water off the reservoir as a precaution if there is a...
  18. Low Coolant & Sweet Smell Outside Vehicle

Glad to hear I'm not the only one with this coolant level. When hot it's right below the minimum line. I'll top it off and monitor.
  19. Low Coolant & Sweet Smell Outside Vehicle

Radiator cap is fine, no signs of pressure release. I removed and reinstalled. Oil was the first thing I checked. No moisture on the oil fill cap. No milkshake on the dipstick. So all good there.
  20. Low Coolant & Sweet Smell Outside Vehicle

I have been smelling a faint but distinct sweet smell of coolant lately. Decided to pop the hood this morning before driving and found this: Haven't found any signs of leaking, I ordered up a bottle of Ford yellow to top it off and keep on hand. Will take it in once the hard top replacement...
