The blackout option is exactly what I wanted. The only thing that the order had that I wouldn’t have cared about was the ionic filtration. But, whatever. And it has vents in the back and very back. Still don’t understand why Bronco couldn’t at least give passengers an air vent.
Well, I’m a person with very little patience- so I pulled the trigger on a new 110. Guy ordered one and backed out. Was exactly the build I wanted. Did a last minute comparison with the bronco next door and it really isn’t even in the same ballpark. Maybe once Ford gets things in order in a...
I’ll just admit- I’m leaning towards it after driving. The dealership had a used wildtrak and a new defender (x dynamic). People are going to want what they want- but that defender is crazy nice. If you haven’t seen or driven it in person, you really can’t say the bronco is the only option out...
I had to laugh a bit at this. HE is a late option. But they said only current reservations could flip to it. So if you follow along… “you waited forever, so you get first dibs on the HE option… but you’ll have to wait even longer… and others will be able to order after you and get the model you...
Yes. No official word on when it opens, but there are “insider information” posts about the process starting next week for those that have unfulfilled orders.
Frankly, it’s more news when they AREN’T showing a markup after order.
Sorry, man. They hold all the cards. The best answer is to try to work it through. But as others have said- if it isn’t in writing, it’s going to be up to the dealer. If they have to balance between making you mad and making...
I’m not thinking it is a coincidence that this is noted shortly after all this conversation about not taking new orders until at least Q4 this year. That was a magic wand to say “looks like we can charge what we want and you’ll have to like it or walk!”
Maybe for that dealer specifically or maybe because he’s trying to sell you on what he has on the lot- but there is a zero percent chance they will skip over an entire year of ordering a vehicle.
I see both sides for sure- but I tend to side more with the “if people weren’t paying it, it wouldn’t be there”. Recent examples:
I went to Toyota to see about a 4Runner (while considering bronco order). I was told 5k ADM. I told him to screw off. They said all vehicles have at least that. I...
I’d have to agree. I think that was a sales tactic to get you focused on what they have on the lot. And if they have it on the lot at this point- it’s because it has a big price increase on it.
There is a zero percent chance they will just skip a whole model year for orders. They already cut it...
So really nothing in these postings has officially addressed human ordering all that clearly. Some things seem to be both contrary and concurrent at the same time.
Im not sure how you guys did this for 2 years. This is a vehicle, not a cure for cancer. I’d be curious to see how many have...
I’m going to say there is a nugget of truth to this- but not in the manner you might think. If the cumulative information is to be believed- they are likely not accepting new orders until older orders are converted or cancelled (not built and delivered). No car company would sacrifice money by...
If someone could clarify- as I am reading this a little differently: what does the term “non-retail” mean on Ford world? In a previous life, that meant non-dealer-stock orders. That could mean anything other than a dealer putting it on their lot. That definition is key.
So your argument to me is the exact point I said at the very beginning. The process is a mess and they aren’t fixing the basic issue of how they are handling it. But somehow I’m the bad guy because I’m frustrated with how it’s being handled. Perhaps your anger would be better directed at Ford...
I’m not asking for sympathy. Never once. I also said I’d be fine waiting in the back of the line. What I was asking is how someone at the back of the line threatens someone at the front? And how does building a model that can be built now hurt those that can’t get built due to restrictions...
So same question. If someone who has a build that can be built gets theirs done before one that can’t- why is this a problem? Just saying “no one else can order” doesn’t solve the issues already there with available options.
