I went with the front bracket from Archetype Racing. It's expensive, but I liked the position of it better than ones that hang down below the bumper. I'm not going to be removing it on trails and not having to worry about snagging it is nice.
Added some photos. Used bonded pair marine wire to make the connections with plugs on either end. Literally just tucks between the edge of the windshield and the A-pillar. I didn't do a full loom wrap on it since I'm about to install a Gobi rack over the weekend (just delivered today) and...
I ran the power cable for mine down the edge of the windshield on the driver side and under the plastic trim at the base of the mirror to connect with the upfitter switch wires in the engine bay. There's enough space between the windshield and the A pillar to tuck a cable. Could even use a...
The FT300 has a power button on the front of the head unit that's easy to use when you want to turn the radio on and off. The other thing to keep in mind is that the radio only really uses the rated 11A while transmitting. If it's just sitting there receiving it doesn't use much power at all...
I have one of those currently installed in mine and ran power directly to the battery. The only downside is you do have to make sure you remember to turn it off if you're going to be parked for a while. I did have the FT300 in my last truck on an ignition switched circuit so it would turn on...
This looks like it'll be a really awesome build when it's finished. I almost wish I'd gotten the OEM roof rack on my 2 door Badlands to simplify shopping for a roof rack.
We have a Badass Moto Gear fire extinguisher mount in the AT Habitat on my husband's Frontier and we've been pretty happy...
Might be worth looking into refinancing at a credit union since the rate I got yesterday was more than a point lower than what they gave you (and could be lowered a bit further with a shorter term).
They never requested a $500 deposit, just the initial $100 one from the reservation. Josh did...
Got a photo from the dealer late yesterday and will be going this evening to pick it up. So ready to be done with this whole ordering/waiting experience.
Whoever unloaded mine from the train car this afternoon accepted the FordPass activation. So glad to no longer need to call the rail companies and use their terrible voice prompt systems.
At least it's out of Ford's cluster of a logistics team's hands at this point. I'm sure there is still plenty of room for more disappointment in this whole ordeal.
After reading through some of the other threads (other build weeks and the unofficial awaiting shipment thread) I'm pretty sure this isn't actually doing anything.
I've got my dealer reaching out to their rep to "open a ticket". No clue what that actually means, and I'm not super hopeful it'll turn anything up. Might have to join in on sending emails to higher up Ford's corporate ladder to get something moving.
My delivery ETA is now showing for today through the 27th, but hasn't actually shipped yet. Nobody seems to know anything about why they're just sitting outside the plant for months. I'm really just hoping it's delivered before the price protection expires at the end of December.
My Bronco hasn't been delivered yet but I was using the GARB from NBX Trail Gear on my pathfinder. The straps for the tire are separate from the bag which should be easier to attach to the spare.

I will definitely recommend checking out...
