  1. Guys... I found THE best Bronco deal of the year

The headlights get plugged up with snow enough as it is, I can't imagine how difficult it'd be to clean that mess!
  2. CAI with custom tune on 2.7! -- Stock Bronco vs K&N Intake vs Dyno Tuning

I drove a tuned GTO for a while. A 25% increase in power and torque was easy. But it did NOT help fuel economy, even if I babied it, that's a pipe dream. I thought that no one had cracked the Ford ECU so it could be openly and individually tuned yet?
  3. Snow recovery - rescued 4Runner with Base Bronco

I was not enjoying the cold feet in the Bronco, but discovered if I turn off the dashboard vents, and turn up the temp all the way and the fan all the way, it's noisy but it gets the job done (-10 degrees with wind chill down to -30).
  4. What is the most fun to drive vehicle you have ever owned? 6G Bronco for me

I have to confess, for me it's not the Bronco. A Toyota MR2 almost cost me my wife... When I was much younger, just after I'd paid off my student loans, I though "I should be able to have a fun car, too!" So I started shopping. The used 911 was a hoot, but too high maintenance. The Merc 450SL...
  5. Wildtrak SAS in Snow... very impressed!

I was worried about this thing in snow and ice-never had these kind of tires and they don't make Blizzaks big enough yet... But so far, very impressed. No traction problems, good steering feel on slippery surfaces. And it's actually a lot of fun in the snow: 1. Traction control doesn't seem to...
  6. Ford Performance Calibration Tune for 2.7L Bronco's AVAILABLE NOW! - Lethal Performance

Anyone know if any of the solutions let you have Sport Mode power in 2A (without the kludge of having to shift 4A off)?
  7. Bronco Raptor Driving in Snow Storm - First Experience

Can't use studded tires in Wisconsin. Actually, the last time I searched for snow tires for the van was a year ago, and there were no Blizzaks to fit at that time. Now, after I bought the Bronco, there are?
  8. 2.7 Tuning Kits ?

The question of warrantee is always a hot topic in any tuner forum. And it completely depends on your dealer. Those that are enthusiastic about motor sports will probably be happy, even if they're pretty sure your tune contributed. Those who aren't will deny coverage for anything... Best to...
  9. Bronco Raptor Driving in Snow Storm - First Experience

Very, VERY gently. You don't want the weight to transfer at all, because unloaded tires slip, and slipping tires move to the front (ie you fishtail out of control). That's the kicker on ice, everything is gentle and slow (and why you have to watch the speed, there's no "panic stops" on ice).
  10. Bronco Raptor Driving in Snow Storm - First Experience

This is something that frustrates me no end. I can get ice tires for my 911, I could get them for my Ford Fusion. But they're simply not available for our minivan or the Bronco. I would MUCH rather be driving on specific rubber for the current temperature, not some kind of compromise that isn't...
  11. Fun in the snow

First day of snow around here, too. Nothing like that, just enough to keep the roads slippery. What I loved is that the traction control is hand-off even if just left alone. I can get a bit of wheelspin in 2A, let the back end step out just enough to smoothly glide around a corner. And yet, on...
  12. Ford Performance Calibration Tune for 2.7L Bronco's AVAILABLE NOW! - Lethal Performance

Interestingly, Road and Track’s discussion of the 2.3l tune did mention 91, suggesting about 1/2 the gain of 93.
  13. Ford Performance Calibration Tune for 2.7L Bronco's AVAILABLE NOW! - Lethal Performance

Well, suppose having 87 and 93 will allow us to extrapolate 91.
  14. Ford Performance Calibration Tune for 2.7L Bronco's AVAILABLE NOW! - Lethal Performance

Having done some tuning, anything more than incremental (say 20%) is going to require upgrading other parts too. Which is why Ford is being cautious, if we already have a suspect rear end... However these numbers border on the "why?" kind of levels. I'd be really interested at 50 HP, not at this...
