  1. Silverton / Ouray trail recommendations for OBX with 33“ BFG A/Ts?

Hi! I was there last year and ran most of the trails that were open. I think you would be fine with Imogene, Ophir, Engineer, Yankee Boy, etc. but I would avoid Mineral Creek (and Poughkeepsie) personally. I suggest you check out Trails Offroad, they had excellent guides, trail ratings, and...
  2. Which 37” tires do you run? Why?

Geolander MT for me. Handle great on the road and in the Colorado mud. They held their own in Moab too!
  3. Notes from Wheeling / Breaking / Fixing / Loving the Bronco

This is great! I was in Moab over Father's day and beyond. I saw your party pull those 2 older jeeps up Fins and Things! Some guy was in your group with a Bronco with Instagram stuff all over it too. Small world! I was with another Bronco and we all stood around for a bit talking.
  4. Colorado Bronco Club

Hi! I too am in FoCo. My suggestion is to grab the Funtreks Colorado trails books (North and South) to see what is around here. I haven't done much around here but did manage to pull off a few weeks in Moab and Ouray this summer. I am not aware of a Specific NoCo group on Bronco6G but there...

  6. Colorado Passes: Engineer -> Cinnamon -> California -> Hurricane -> Corkscrew

Hi, I just returned from 11 days in Ouray. Mineral creek is open all the way to the alpine connector loop near Animas, so no problem there. It was a bit tedious and I did my skid plates a few times but nothing horrible. OP: great pics! As for most scenic pass, my vote is for Cinnamon as well
  7. RCI Modular Roof Rack NOW AVAILABLE!

Following along! I have the RCI roof rack and the latch to the rear cap is rattling like mad. It also unlatches itself. I also have the middle panel peaked like in your picture above. I personally do not believe this is related to the roof rack but will do some more investigating and report...
  8. First Alpine Loop Trip

    Heck forgot the Moose pics!
  9. First Alpine Loop Trip

My daughter is obsessed with finding the marmots on the trails :D so here is an obligatory picture of a Ouray trail rated absolute unit of a marmot, and to appease the mods, a pic of my Bronco on Corkscrew today.
  10. 5 Day Bronco Trip: Sandia Mountains -> Alpine Loop -> Great Sand Dunes National Park

Looks like an incredible trip! I am in Ouray and did Cinnamon the other day. It looks like you successfully hit some of the major highlights around here, well done.
  11. Ouray Colorado, July 16th - 22nd

Hi! I am back from Corkscrew today, highly recommended for the views. The pass was clear and a local guide reported that Hurricane to California pass to Animas Forks is all the way open. Yankee Boy is very smooth until just past the restrooms at mile 7.5-ish waypoint. Then it is blocked by snow...
  12. First Alpine Loop Trip

I may have passed you on the trails! I am here in Ouray as well. Did Cinnamon 2 days ago. Did Corkscrew today. So amazing here. Heck even saw 3 moose today on the 550 by Ironton. Glad you had a great time and that the wife is enjoying it was well.
  13. Ouray Colorado, July 16th - 22nd

Hi! Just an update as I am in Ouray right now and spending 11 days. Yankee Boy is open. Ophir pass and Imogene are not cleared. Ophir is open from the east/Silverton side but closed just pass the summit due to snow. Cinnamon and Engineer are open all the way. Red mountain is open for about 4...
  14. Newby off roader needs advice

Hi! Currently in Moab and heading to Ouray in the am. The Shafer trail switchbacks really dont require any airing down. Done the trail twice in the past year. The whole Potash/Shafer trail is more comfortable airing down to cut down on the vibrations but not required. Corkscrew is currently not...
  15. Ouray, CO

I will be there for the last 10 days of June as well. Might have to meet up!
  16. WTB Sasquatch takeoff suspension

I have the 2.7 V6 4 door BadSquatch. I was about to list my old suspension and tires/wheels. I am also in Ft. Collins. I also have the take off UCAs. Feel free to PM.
  17. NOCO Bronco

    FOCO reporting in!
  18. Watch this Bronco recovery and the damage the owner did to his Bronco

Agree! After I watched the smash part again I saw how severe the impact was. Then I watched it over and over like it was the Zapruder film. That was pretty serious carnage. I am still going to reinforce my rear gate hinges and carrier as the 37s go on in 2 weeks :D
  19. Watch this Bronco recovery and the damage the owner did to his Bronco

So, this seems to be a great example of why a tail gate reinforcement is needed for larger tires. Thoughts? It looked like the tailgate buckled pretty quick - but yes he did send it quite forcefully.
