Yes they will clear the airbags. It reaches a few inches in before coming down at an angle to avoid any issues with the airbag clearance.

The raw aluminum wouldn't be ideal for that but we will be sand blasting and anodizing them prior so they wont get that hot. We sand blast our other aluminum parts we produce to make them more heat resistant as the porous surface doesn't conduct nearly as much heat.
