Thanks. I actually don't mind the noise too much, at least, not enough to buy a different car ;-) That being said, I took a 3hr drive the other week and my head was a bit rattled, so I would spend the money on a top that makes a material difference, but if there is no such top or if the car...
Hi there. Has anyone purchased and installed an after-market hardtop that truly makes a difference with road noise at highway speeds. I watched the demo video for the one piece hard top from Advanced Fiberglass Concepts, and though I really like the slant in the back and the look of the one...
Just sharing. I ordered these trail sight deletes and, although they are not quite as snug as I would have liked, they are no more un-snug than the factory trail sights, so, if you are looking for a cleaner look, these represent a pretty good option:

I can confirm that the Amp Research Running Boards (Part# 76140-01A) that I installed a few weeks ago are great so far. They do make a clucking sound on deployment and retraction, but not in a malfunctioning sort of way. The car is so loud in every other respect, it kind of fits.
I assume that there is an aftermarket part that one can install in lieu of the tie downs, ideally the same color of the car, to make them flush. Thanks!
Whew. I dodged triple-wink there :-) I am being charged $575. Still, your pricing and transparency are such that I think that anyone who happens upon this thread should feel confident about doing business with you. Thanks again!
Oh. Interesting. My bad. You out-winked me! ;-) Let me answer your question with a question: How much would you charge for installation of those power steps?
Thanks much! I actually ordered the 76140-01A AMP Power Steps from a local shop that is also going to install them (and the override switch) for me. Sorry the timing did not work out for me to place an order (although your price is $100 more - wink), but I do appreciate the tip, as it validated...
Thanks for your reply. When they get installed, I assume they get plugged into the car in a way that allows them to deploy when the door is open and retract when the door is closed, but I would like to override them to keep them deployed in parking lots to prevent door dings. Do you have an...
Looking for feedback on these seat covers and/or a better alternative. Thanks!

Looking for feedback on these power steps, as well as guidance from anyone who might have been able to wire up the controller to an auxiliary switch, as the rep from RC told me that this cannot be done. Thanks!

She has nice back tires. She has nice front tires too, for that matter. She may be a little loud and bumpy, but she’s a beauty.

Now I need to buy seat covers and rubber mats. Any suggestions?
After a 2 year wait, I finally cancelled my order and ordered a Land Rover Defender that is slated to arrive in 3 months. It is a little more expensive, but way more predictable. Too bad. Ford is losing money, especially from the folks who will be out of the market for 6-8 years.
