  1. Recall: Rearview Camera issue fix coming via OTA over-the-air software update

I just got the formal notice via snail mail from Ford about the software update recall. Went and started the Bronco, which is connected to my home wifi, and checked for updates. No updates were found, saying my vehicle was up to date. I then checked the Sync status which shows the updates in...
  2. Regrets

No regrets here. 22 BD 4 dr 2.7 with the hard top. I don't understand the build quality issues. Nothing cheezy on mine. Yeah, there's plastic on the inside, but plastic was also evident on my F150 Limited, and my Ram 1500 Limited before that. Hell there was even a lot of cheezy looking...
  3. How Do You Prep Your Bronco for Winter Weather?

Live in SW Florida now, but in years past lived in Fairbanks Alaska. Winter there has to be experienced to be fully appreciated. My Bronco winter prep is to make sure the AC is not left in too cold a position.
  4. Periodic Click/Door Lock Sound When Engine Is Off

Sounds like a relay. I hear it whenever I open a door, and again a minute or so after I close the door. Suspect it's the relay "waking" the vehicle electronics up and shutting them down again.
  5. NEEDS DIFF CARRIER at 6k miles, Drove Fine.. Never off roaded..???

Hope this gets sorted for you sooner than later. Have to wonder tho, if this, along with a few other reports of axle issues, both the rear and front differential, have to do with quality, or lack of, coming from Dana, the supplier? Back in the late 90's, Mopar changed axle suppliers for their...
  6. Whats your MPG on your motor and model ?

22 Black Diamond 2.7 Approx 2500 miles. Average 19 around town and a solid 20 mpg on the two highway trips taken so far. That I've kept it at 70 mph on the interstate, and still managed 20 mpg is a good thing.
  7. Quick Survey - Bronco or Defender?

Have a 2020 Range Rover Velar and a 2022 Bronco. Agree with most of the opinions above. Now our Range Rover is the one with air suspension, and host of off road features, but honestly other than in an emergency, it isn't going off road. It's 550 hp supercharged Ford (of Europe) V8 however...
  8. 2.7 Oil Pan Capacity Answered

Been doing my own oil changes since Nixon was in the WH. Yeah, I"m that old, but this thread gave me a litte pause. So for the first oil change on the Bronco, took it in to the dealer thinking that IF my pan turned out to be defective, much rather have Ford pay to replace it than paying...
  9. Possible to display digital coolant temperature over engine temperature gauge?

Was wondering if it is possible to display the actual digital coolant temperature over the analog coolant temp gauge? I know this can be done on the F150 as I have done it on my 2019. I haven't experimented in the IPC module on the Bronco to see if similar coding is even there. On the F150...
  10. Bronco First Edition on the Denali Highway, Alaska. There and back - Twice

Nice pics. Reminds me of when I was stationed in Alaska in the mid 70's. Drove up and back on the Alaska Hwy when it was 1100 miles of gravel. It's all paved now, much less of an adventure. Also drove what was called the Steese Hwy, the narrow gravel road that led from Fairbanks to 'Circle...
  11. Looking for honest feedback from former JL owners

We've had 3 jeeps; 95 YJ, 2003 TJ Rubicon, and a 2012 JK. Can't talk about the latest JL, though I have driven a friends. Drove both the YJ and TJ to well over 100K miles. Both had mild lifts and larger tires and both were really good vehicles. Not sure about the jeep being a bit more...
  12. Installed ARB Rear Differential Cover

I second that question, as the ARB cover looks like it might slightly reduce the gear oil capacity over the stock cover, but looks are deceiving. Ford Performance offers a nice nodular iron cover for the M220 on the Ranger, which 'might' work on the Bronco (will fit the M220 on the Bronco, only...
