I use a pair of Baja Design S1's in a wide corning amber beam configuration as ditch lights. They do a nice job of filling in were my front mounted LP6's stop.
I plan to mount either S1's or S2's scene/work pattern to the rear rack to help fill in the rear quarter. Turning around at night...
I worked out the trip cost between a diesel van and the Bronco last year. In my case the van only has a 6-7 mpg advantage over the Bronco. At the time the fuel premium for diesel resulted in the cost difference being under $5 for a 1,000+ mile trip. The price difference between gas and diesel...
We replaced a 2009 Yukon XL with a 4dr Bronco Badlands and a long wheel base MB Sprinter crew van. The big Yukon XL was too big 95% of the time and not big enough 5% of the time.
I used the Baja Designs S1 wide cornering in amber as ditch lights mounted directly with the factory accessory bolts, no 3rd party bracket. The S1's are very small and work very well. In some ways they are over kill as ditch lights. I have them aimed about 30 deg from the vehicle center line...
Fusion reactor to power the mark III flux capacitor.
No, it is a thin wall pressurized water tank. I sometimes support 3 people for 4 to 5 days off grid, so it is the easiest way to carry the needed water.
I am using Baja Design's S1 lights in amber aimed about 40 degrees from the front and down slightly as my ditch lights. In the bumper I have 2 pairs of S2 Pros, one combo beam pattern in clear aimed straight, the other a wide beam pattern in amber aimed about 15 to 20 degrees from the...
I have the twin and I can go from 22psi to 35 psi in all 4 stock sas tires at the same time in just over 3 mins. It takes me about that to hook everything up and roll it back up afterwards. I've never timed the whole thing, but it is less than 10 minutes for the whole process. If the single...
Nothing wrong with a Jeep. I consider it a little more robust for serious rock crawling.
This vehicle was to spend more than 95% of the time on pavement and when off road it would usually be on rough gravel roads or maybe an overgrown roads with ruts at most.
For me the choice was really...
Replaced a 10 year old GMC Yukon XL with the Bronco and a Sprinter van. 90% of the time the Yukon was too big and 10% of the time it was not big enough. Definitely a 1st world problem, but I am happy with the change.
My only regret is not looking more closely at the 3500 Sprinter in order...
Baer Performance makes a big brake kit for the Bronco.
https://baer.com/2021-Bronco/
I do not know of any one using it. I have used Baer for other vehicles, and thought they were a decent value option.
No one setup is best for everyone, and most setup choices are compromises.
I have a 4dr Badlands SAS with the 2.7l. My Bronco priorities are a comfortable on pavement ride first, a comfortable rough gravel/dirt road ride second, and a capability for mild unimproved road/rock crawling 3rd...
I will generally only take the front 3 roof panels off. I have an enthusiastic dog, that needs to be contained. I will also only remove the doors and roof for around town driving. Long trips will require the doors and roof for me.
I also plan to assemble a cart to store the doors and roof...
The B&O sound system sounds ok, but not as good as one would expect for the cost. The base sound in my 15 year old Audi Q7 sounds better. I will likely update the front speakers at some point, but this is not a priority for me now.
Overall, I wanted the Lux package mostly for the adaptive...
I have a 2022 4 door hard top Badlands with SAS, Lux, and tow package and do not plan modifications, just a few additions. I added SAE fog lights and a couple of small cornering lights to the bumper as well as pair of ditch lights. No need for more light as I will not be running any high speed...
I have picked the kids up from school on sunny days with the temp around 45 degrees with the roof panels off. I would not want to hit the highway at that temperature with the top open. I think that above 55F is the sweet spot for the kids to be comfortable with coats on.
I like the ceramic beads for balancing, especially in my motorcycle tires. I would, however, not use them on a wheel equipped with TPMS. Seems like a bad idea, though I have no personal experience.
