Hi all, thanks to those who have contributed in this thread.
Question, tonight I removed the lower nut, but am unable to push the swaybar up high enough to clear the LCA. If I understand correctly, you are actually pushing on the swaybar until the bolt clears, correct? Which would then allow...
Hi all,
I have a 2 door Basesquatch. I've added ARB summit bumper, rear bumper, skid plates, and just ordered Fab Fours rock sliders. This adds a fair amount of weight and you can certainly feel the difference when you drive. I've also added OME to account for the weight to the suspension...
Morning. Yes, I can easily access the controls for the winch. There is a small door in the summit bumper that opens to allow access to the controls.
Regarding your second question, are you talking about the springs or what?
I coordinated with Main Line Overland, and they took it from...
Morning all,
Yesterday I took my 2 door Basesquatch on a 6 hour ride. I did green and blue trails and aired down to 16-18 psi. Thought I'd share some of my observations and thoughts.
Trail turn assist-I've seen some folks reference this functionality as a gimmick. I used it 3 times...
In the promotional materials I’ve seen from ARB, they always have 2 giant fog lights mounted on the bumper. I dislike that look so much that I almost didn’t give the ARB bumper a chance. However, not adding those lights makes this look work much better IMHO.
My understanding is that the bumper comes with camera relocation, parking sensors, and allows for the adaptive cruise control to continue to work. I never actually saw any of the materials as they were shipped straight to the installer. The clear lights on the outside of the bumper are turn...
I didn’t have any problems with my dealership, but my situation was a little different than others on the board. I had an early reservation in St. Louis that I ended up canceling. After making a few alternative purchases, decided to pick up a Bronco as a third vehicle. I started shopping...
The bumper is certainly “beefy” and changes the way the front end drives a little. It’s not bad, just different. The quality of the ARB bumper is solid and the design is well thought out. I have the ARB summit bumper on my Tacoma, and the design for the Bronco is better in terms of winch...
I forgot that I have my hardtop off and raised with the hoist, so I can't measure right now. I am attaching a picture from the side, as requested. My driveway slopes slightly so it looks like a larger gap between the rear fender flare and tire, but not the case when measured.
If definitely rides different and you can feel the added weight in the front end. Also a noticeable impact to acceleration.
That said, I wouldn’t say it rides harsh by any stretch. This is not my daily driver so I do not have a ton of miles on it post install.
I did the heavy/medium springs to account for the weight. It provided a very slight lift over stock Sasquatch. I’ve not measured yet, but read that it’s .75”.
I have a 2 door so there is a gas tank skid from the factory. I’m going to see how it fairs before making a decision on whether or not it needs to be swapped out for after market.
