Gotcha yeah I was seeing a lot of posts about low coolant so I'm def gonna get that refilled and like you both were saying, I think it would be pretty obvious I wasn't cooling properly even based on a simple dummy light since they heat up quick. Really appreciate your response Dave.
Gotcha, im guessing there's some temp gauge on the onboard screen that shows me more specific Temps? I only found the dummy light under the speedometer. I'll look again tomorrow
Ok just so im 100% understanding. You're talking about the hose this guy is grabbing at around the 50 second mark? Sorry if this is really dumb this stuff just doesn't come easy to me.
Hey im in a really tuff spot, I was checking out the engine with my dad who did a little bit of mechanics work when he was younger. I noticed the coolant for the Radiator is below the min line and my dad traced the the hoses to the lower hose connecting back into the Radiator. He noticed it was...
Looks like you guys are gonna kick the can down the line huh? @Ford Motor Company btw my name is James....thanks for your classic customer service.....
Sure, definitely could be the case but Ford has made me wait for weeks while my alarm is blaring at random (up to 6 times a day) and then I'm not told till I am without a car an entire day that there was a mistake. Absolutely could be the dealerships fault but they're a Ford franchise and if the...
You guys are gonna love this one! Ford sent the dealership the wrong hood latch for my bronco after waiting for literally weeks for it to arrive and I'm only finding out about it now as the vehicle has been at the service department all day. Hey @Ford Motor Company I'm sick of playing games I...
Idk for sure but I read somewhere on here that if you disconnect/disable the module in the latch then it'll keep registering as "ajar"......all the time.. You can watch videos of people disconnecting the module on F150s but it's harder for us.
So yep hood latch needs to be replaced via warranty. They do need to order a new one and said it could take a couple weeks. Yours sounds wild bad so I would ask to expedite it. Mine is only going off every couple days now.
I did that too and it helped for a bit but I'm literally writing this while at the dealership waiting for the to diagnose it.....I'm pretty sure this is the sensor like everyone else is saying
UPDATE: Alarm started going off again, have an appointment with the dealership and am requesting replacement of the hood module......it was fun while it lasted but looks like the hood stops didn't actually fix the problem long term.
You know what, I'm originally from Philly and like 8 years ago my dad had a 70 Bronco I believe. I asked him about it when all this was going down and he said PA definitely titled it Station Wagon. So I think its literally up to our preference at this point lol
tbh I think raising them may only make it worse as the hood is already registering as ajar aka open so if you raise them its gonna just register more ajar/open I think
