Thinking about springing for a Mongoose cable and a Windows notebook to update the APIM on my Bronco and maybe recalibrate the cameras once I finish relocating front and rear - but wondering if it’s worth it in the long term for just that. Are there any other modules with significant updates...
Has anyone used FluidFilm Black? How well does it protect against salt brine? Does it stay on? Is it easy to get off in the spring with a hot water and soap spray? I read somewhere it gets pretty gross after a winter. A local guy here puts it on for around $100.
You're not wrong... but it's also an impossible task to prove whether something like an axle or tie rod got bent at the factory vs on a transport. The disclaimers and all would insist the recipient inspect the vehicle, etc., etc. I'm not sure this could hold up except by some good natured person...
That's a fair argument but it's impossible to tell if he might have damaged the axle early on himself. Maybe there's evidence of it... maybe not. It's possible it got done in transit by someone who didn't know how to tie down a vehicle (this happened on a tie rod in this forum some time ago)...
Nobody's going to just accept blindly that a car with almost 10k miles on it was never hit, never off-roaded, that the customer had nothing to do with it. If it had 100 miles on it, maybe, but if problems hadn't presented by now, it's a hard sell to "just take my word for it". That's like...
