Well apparently there is not or I wouldn’t have stated it the way it’s described among the non-mechanically inclined side of our development teams most of whom actually sign the checks for the rest of us. I get what you’re implying however there’s also descriptors in languages that aren’t...
During development, 4.46’s were originally the highest gear ratio planned to be available. 4.7 was going to be a catalog item but it was later determined that 4.7 would be a more optimal gear for the multi-role build characteristics.
4.46’s were more than healthy during the early stages...
Me three. So to break it down for models. Internally the Badlands was called “Capable” and is the base foundation for the Raptor (and Heritage Limited). It is the highest performing trim available from a design and marketing goal standpoint. The Wildtrak was “Baja” and was originally to be...
Well originally in development the Raptor used F-150 Raptor components for steering/suspension/brakes. Eventually as it went further the parts that had been frankesteined were made into their own. Only a few things were carryover. As far as why a bigger motor, I think it was based around 37’s of...
The motor in the steering gear is more capable (higher output) to drive bigger tires. It was a carryover from the F-150. This required a unique case to fit with the Bronco. Nexteer is the supplier
Never really had a wireless charger, either in a vehicle or a desktop pad, that didn’t heat up the phone. Part of the science behind induction. Further I have noticed that phones SOC’s are extremely dense nowadays and running wireless CarPlay or Android Auto (taxing) while charging wirelessly...
I purchased a Badlands that originally come with capable bumpers but switched to the modular which still had the wiring present but no switch. I had to install the headlight switch that had the fog button and program the fog light info in with FDRS
As I’ve said this wasn’t even mudding just a Ford Performance Off-Road Evaluation Course but yes I will keep that in mind when I do decide to do some mud work
Huh who’d a thought. Yeah that would have worked much easier!
I’ve been in and out of these things so much this wasn’t really that bad but still that’s way faster for my needs.
Well at least their name is a good indication of the pounding they give their customers bank accounts. Great concept but the logo and price kill it for me.
I don’t know if I need to go that extreme yet. This was just a simple run through one of the testing sites Ford uses to develop vehicles. Don’t plan to actually go mudding too much.
