Dont blame you. I love the OEM soft top. Wish I had another to work out deal for hardtop. Why are you considering trading it? I am asking more so I know if I should look for a hard top for winter. Thanks.

There are pros and cons to both tops but depending on where you live the soft top is nice. Easy to flip open and if you hit bad weather flip back. Friend has it and they love it. The windows are a little bit to learn but they have them on and off in minutes now.

I find it hard to believe its not a design flaw— we have not seen the F150 that has used this engine prior for years, have this many failures or the need to summon up the feds to investigate… I am curious if there isnt something a bit different to 2.7 depending on which unit it gets installed...

I have an ongoing post. Had it for 7 hours…. (9/24/22 purchase) 2022 built 8/22/22 engine date from Lima plant 22237– died with 60 miles on it. New engine ordered… just fyi for all. I just went out and found my sticker before they replace it.

Thanks. With 60 miles I think mine is the lowest and owned only for 7 hours before this happened. So I am beyond frustrated. The dealer put 34 miles on it to get it to whine. BUT here is my biggest concern the engineer told them to change oil and check filter so to me that tells me the engineers...

You say all this because it isnt you! I guarantee if it was you wouldnt be. Warranty or not I do not trust it or the Bronco anymore. How about you buy it off me? Put your money where your mouth is 65k and its yours.

Means the engineer who heard noises via see what I see virtual headset/meeting told my dealer to do this and they found metal throughout on an engine with 60 miles. my oil looked like a glitter bomb went off in it. Should have been clean. Filter had metal pieces in it as well.

Is there a POC for this thread building the list? I think there is a bigger issue in 2.7 engines. The supposed new engines are doing same. NHTSA POC?

Get yours to Ford… they dropped oil and cut filter and not good for a vehicle under 100 miles. My oil looks cloudy and bits of what appears to be metal in it. Its super cloudy.

so engineer is allowing them to drop transmission to check both pumps as the whine was super loud and not within spec.. they’re also goung to domoul change to check for metal. I will keep ypu updated. Please do same on yours with me.
