My guy that did a similar setup to the base audio with a 1000 series jl amp told me that the head unit doesn't have a digital output if you don't order with the B&O option. Sounded like something was missing from the head unit.
Anyone think that there is a part from Ford that needs to be...
Been away from this thread for 100+ pages to read. Quick scan sounds like there is potentially a fix?
Can someone that has been following along help save me an hour of reading all these pages?
Just got the call back and they are going to work with the adjustment point to attempt an improvement.
With any luck my window will stop bouncing around like a pinball when going over bumps while trying to get a little bit of outside air.
I'm getting exactly the same run-around right now as my car is at the dealer. They are telling me that 50711 doesn't apply....even though the issue is painfully obvious.
3:30 eastern time. Started the bronco today while it had been off for over 24 hours. Temp, 39 degrees at start.
The sound is back, it's mild, but it's there for sure. Went away after idle of 5 min. Mileage at pickup after transmission replacement: 2663
2, mileage at this moment, 2783.6...
Got mine back today after the TSB went sideways due to mount break on the case. New transmission installed.
2642 miles around noon pickup, outside temp 46 degrees. No noise detected.
I'll report back in the AM with out overnight lows around 23 degrees.
Between the various threads on this topic, it's starting to feel like we need to combine the various threads into a single thread, document our users names, year of bronco, miles, location, etc.
So my Bronco went in on the 27th... But I have bad news. The dealership tells me they broke a mount on the transmission and now I'm getting a new transmission.
So for me the TSB isn't being performed at all. No idea when this new transmission was produced.
I get it back next week.
I'm...
See the other thread about this that I posted on regarding why a replacement MT might have the same problem. Being either a bad part in available stock, or that the transmission ships wet to the dealer and that from the supplier it's improperly filled with lubricant via their manufacturing...
Just got off the phone with my SA, and he believed that if ford ships a transmission to them, it's usually going to arrive wet.
Not saying that this confirms my prior thoughts, as I don't have direct evidence on our bronco MT being shipped wet.
Hmmm...
I also wonder if the TSB is fixing the issue inadvertently.
Hear me out. The initial problem is an improper fill from somewhere in the production process (speculation).
Customer takes delivery, and the part that is starving for lubricant starts to wear improperly.
During the TSB repair, the...
Confirmed just now that yes, if I tilt the rear of the vehicle down (in my case the dash indicated a 3 degree slope) that the grinding noise at stationary idle goes away.
Lol @ that dealership for telling you that. How is it that I have a service appointment to execute the latest TSB on the 27th, and they can tell you one year? .
