I honestly stopped playing with it. The goat modes from what I feel do change the throttle response. I think I keep my PC at normal or normal plus..... The PC can be downright violent in sport or sport plus..... In my opinion, it can be too much for the broncos drivetrain with such a fast...
I think I got the rattle fixed found. Looks like I over tightened the flange to the mid pipe and exhaust was leaking out of the multi layer gasket. I loosened the bolts and it seems to be better. I’ll know tomorrow. If it still makes noise, I will replace the gasket. Yes everything is faster...
The wires going to the sub effectively become your inputs for the amp. The harness I used took care of this. You wire the sub from the output on the amp.....
When you take it all apart, you will see. There is a rubber grommet with wires cast into the rubber pressed into the sub enclosure... Pull it apart and connect the harness. and run the new wires through the hole. SEAL THE HOLE. I taped up the hole and used some quick set epoxy to seal it...
In other news, these guys at AFE are machining me another set of adapters for my truck. They do nothing fast. NOTHING. So I guess, I may get the adapters next week some time and well We will see.
Are sent a new set and they are still wrong. More emails. More time and no truck. They also dont answer their phone calls. 2 emails sent today, 3 calls, no emails back and no returned calls. These people just dont care. It is very sad.
So I measured some things for AFE and they just emailed me back that they are machining up a set that will work and they may be able to get them in the mail today. I requested overnight. We shall see.
I see, Ill get under it tonight and see. So just to be clear, you didnt mess with the adapter, you ground down the intercooler. If so, I agree, there would be no strength issue there. My factory pipes fit the intercooler perfectly, good and tight......
I thought about doing this, but I figured AFE would know #1 but I also think If I open up the clip recess a little, The damn thing would break when under boost. The aluminum in that area is thin to begin with. Factory looks to have a little more play and the factory used stainless which is...
Im sure lethal will help, I just emailed them. I have 10 or so emails into AFE. They want me to measure some things. I dont know what they want so I asked for them to send me a drawing and I will measure everything for them. I can guarantee Im screwed for no less than a month with AFE.
AFE just doesnt have the recess for the clips in the correct spot. Should be a simple fix. BTW the factory pipes work perfectly on the whipple, I ran the truck that way without issue till the AFE pipes arrived.
I blame myself. Im really just telling everyone so they know. Im sure AFE will make the correct stuff..... I just hate waiting while my truck is torn apart....
