There is no way wipers are supposed to work like this. Mine stop 40 seconds after turning them on. Every time. It has nothing to do with the amount of moisture on the windshield. I have a hard time believing Ford really thinks it makes sense to put drivers and passengers in harmâs way to protect...
Itâs not. That is what they keep saying but it is a ridiculous idea. Have you ever heard of burnt out wiper motors? If you have, Iâm sure itâs a rare event.
My dealership first came back with the line about them being rain sensing, to which I said, Iâm pretty sure they arenât. Then they said it was a feature built in to save the wiper motors from over working. I saw that one in this thread too so I told them there is no way they are supposed to work...
OK. We did that once already but Iâm happy to offer whatever I can to help. Somebody is going to get seriously hurt eventually with wipers malfunctioning like this.
OK, freezing rain here in Michigan Today. Hereâs what happened and it has happened three times consistently. My drive is around 36 miles. Wipers doing the intermittent thing and I have to keep manually changing the wiper settings to keep them on until about 16 miles into the drive then they stay...
Go here and report this safety hazzard so pressure can be put on Ford to take this seriously enough to figure it out and find a fix. https://www.nhtsa.gov/report-a-safety-problem#index
I brought mine in and they confidently told me it was my alternator, which is on back order. I seriously doubt itâs my alternator because the faulty wipers operate in a consistent manner. They might have identified a different problem though as my gauge can fluctuate from in around 11.3 up to...
That isnât accurate for my situation. The wipers have gone to slow intermittent in very light rain or heavy rain/ sleet. Also, if I leave them on in this slower mode they do not return to regular speed unless I readjust the speed.
I took mine, 2022 Badlands Sasquatch, in Friday. My wipers almost always switch to very slow intermittent wiping after around 40 seconds. I also have had a rattling sound since picking the vehicle up. Dealer had it for about 90 mins then came out and told me the alternator is causing both...
