Dealer wrote on the service record, "C/S that they need dealer to install/flash Ford performance procal software as to retain warranty. Software installed for customer". It's on them now.
The Everglades seem to be few and far between. Was it an even trade, or did you have to go in with some cash? I ask because the Badlands is a higher trim with "better" options.
I originally was going for an Everglades, but it would've been ages out, so I got myself a badlands.
I did all the legwork for the tune, myself. Backed up my original tune and downloaded the FP tune to the procal. Handed it over to the dealer and told them to just press flash and we're done. They even did it in the parking lot and didn't charge me. In and out in 10 min and it's now under warranty.
Just had this occur twice today. Hood ajar fault on the ford pass app.
Has a root cause been discovered yet? Hood stops seem to be at proper height and the hood latch harness is dirty, but nothing out of the ordinary.
22 badlands
Follow up:
In case someone else runs into the same issue. I'm hearing that there SHOULD have been an included gasket with the kit to fill this exact void. For me, there was no gasket with the hardware and it wasn't listed or mentioned anywhere in the instructions. Possibly a different revision...
So, I've detected the issue. This port is too tall for the aftermarket BOV to sit on.
The reason the stock BOV sits is because the plunger is free and unrestricted, so it's already being compressed by about 2mm when fully seated. The turbosmart plunger is tucked within the solid housing, so...
Yo,
Anyone own the AFE charge pipes and attempted to put an aftermarket BOV on them?
I've attempted both the boomba and the turbosmart and neither of them sit flush. The boost sound is significantly weker when compared to the stock charge pipes with either BOV installed
Am I missing something?
I'm gonna try and find it, but there was a guy here in michigan (facebook group) who was able to swap the 12 inch screen in a base model. But I think he mentioned a harness swap being necessary.
Traded my '20 Santa Fe.
I really do miss it.
The Bronco is definitely more fun, but the Santa Fe was so much more practical. It was comfier, had more seating space, better on gas, smoother ride, loads more trunk space, and had a ton more features.
Maybe in the future, if I decide to part...
Dependsbon your usage. I chose the Badlands over the Wildtrak solely for the disconnecting stay bar for the aggressive crawling/offroading.
I'm biased for soft-tops, as well. Just so convenient.
Buuuuuuut, if you aren't planning tonkeep it forever, the hail damage may affect resale value.
So what I'm gathering, this compared to say, the afe scorcher and panda, not only increases boost but also changes shift points? (For auto trans) is that right?
Almost $700 seems high when compared to 3rd party options, but if it does more +warranty, I'm feeling like its worth the purchase.
