I'll follow the advice of getting it addressed by the dealer (hoping they don't mess up anything else...), making sure it's a one-day thing.
Thanks all for the feedback!
Hi,
took the Bronco in for a front pinion leak under warranty. Got done in a few days, so far so good so I went to pick it up. Driving home it started to smell like gear oil. Yep, leak was worse. Took it back, waited, eventually got told they were going to replace the whole diff. Ok... After...
@userdude
Yes, pinion seal leak, oil travels down to bottom of diff.
I changed the oil on mine in Feb. and noticed a similar leak. Since it's under warranty I thought I'd bring it to the dealership. They replaced the seal in about a week, which is not ideal but not too bad. Drove home and put...
Hi,
the purpose of this post is as a reminder that on busy trails people should pay attention to some things. But also a testament to how ridiculously capable the Bronco is.
This weekend my wife and I took a last minute shortcut through the Sangre de Cristo range, great sand dunes towards...
If it's ABS, look into mixing acetone and ABS (toilet evacuation piping...). It becomes a paste as it dries and you can fill the hole like it wasn't there before. Then paint touch up..
Hmm... I haven't been scammed of $75k on craigslist (or anywhere else), so I can't tell you. It does not seem like it feels very good.
It's also no reason to call people names or be salty AF. Again if that's how you conduct business, good luck...
If you're going to call names...
Who got scammed of $75k? All while intending to commit tax fraud?
You own a 2016 Taco that is "falling apart"? How in TF does anyone do that?
If you conduct business the same way you conduct basic personal transactions, I'd like to steer way clear of whatever...
Yeah I realize it's cheap, that is why I got it at Costco quality is usually ok there. Have used it a bunch of times and it's been pretty good. Knock on wood until I get something better, and now I'll probably pack a bicycle pump just in case :)
Don't laugh, I got this.
It's not the fastest or most accurate of gauges, but does the job just fine. Took it to Moab, aired down to +- 18 PSI and re-inflated all 4 back to 35 in about 20 mins. Sasquatch stock tires.
Airing down we just used anything pointy. A valve tool would have been...
Seriously. If I so much as place an untoward word with a customer in my line of work I can pack my shit.
This ain't rocket science, really, especially if the Bronco is the ONLY vehicle in the lineup that has a TPMS in the "spare".
But hey, wield whatever power you like, service-dude, karma has...
Sasquatch does have 5 TPMS. Hell, it re-learns down to the POSITION of the wheel on the vehicle...
How much more BS can you take? What a waste of time.
Utter bullshit.
I do it myself, hardest part is wrangling 80# of cold dirty wheel around, 5 times.
- the spare has a TPMS
- the sensors are automatically re-discovered in about 15 mins IME
- whenever I change tires, if I go to a different brand/size/pattern/whatever I don't want to be stuck...
