As someone who has creaking from the cargo area, it very well could be the weatherstripping. Mine started after I used "Gummi Pflege Stift" rubber conditioner. It made the seals crazy grabby and made SO MUCH noise afterwards. I had to lubricate them with various silicone lubricants for a...
I put sasquatch shocks from a 2.7l 2-door on my 2.3l 4-door and they ride great. I can't tell any difference in ride quality over my Outerbanks shocks. I also only paid $500 so I didn't care if they where a little off or not. They had less than 500 miles on them BTW so I think it was a good...
I have the 2.3l so they don't offer custom tuning yet. You have to use a completely different ECU with the 2.7l to allow for a custom tune. 🥴
But my hope would be that either my mods I would be able to run a slightly higher setting with the JB4 to make it worth it considering I already have a...
They say that its o.k. to use both. They told me to send a log if I get it without running a map on the jb4 so they can see what going on first. Then they would give guidance on what maps and things I can use with my current mods, etc. So idk. Still thinking about it.
Hey everyone!
I am interested in seeing if anyone has done something similar and has had any issues? Or did you ever get your Bronco on a dyno with this combination?
I currently have the FPT running 93 with the following mods.
-Injen Intake
-CVF Charge Pipes
-CVF Intercooler
-CVF catted...
So is that the issue with newer vehicles for the most part - that we are unable to write over the stock ECU and instead have to put in a custom unit? I'm assuming because of some ridiculous encryption, etc? I'm used to using something like the Cobb accessport or mid 2000's vehicles.
So I actually just put on some Sasquach take-offs on my 22 OBX. They came off of a 2-door 2.7L Badlands. I have a 4-door 2.3L, they ride great and I have no complaints. They came with the 1" RC lift on the front to make it more level. I only paid $500 and they only had a few hundred miles on...
My soft top has been squeaking like rats for the past 6 months and I can't figure it out. So many cans and tubes of lubricant and nothing seems to work for more than a day. It's incredibly frustrating and makes me want to buy a hard top. Hell, that might not even fix it. Something else might...
ACT - Ambient Charge Temperature would be the sensor before the throttle body measuring the charged air temp correct? I have been looking for a boosted air temperature parameter, but I think my technical wording is incorrect.
Just installed CVF intercooler and pipes. So I'm more interested in...
That's awesome. Don't listen to the haters. I am about to install full bolt-on's for my 2.3l. Who cares! We love doing it, and that's all that matters.
This is the same issue that the Ranger has FYI - The slip yoke has this blue coating on it and they claim this works better than grease supposedly. Anyways, it's very common for Ranger owners to grease the slip yoke to stop the thud. I can confirm because I did this myself. It's not an issue...
So I initially wanted the V6 because moar powaa? Well I ended up with a 2.3l because I was searching for a Bronco during covid and found one that had what I wanted, but just not the V6. I had 2020 Ranger so I was used to the 2.3l, and it makes good power. I installed the FPT earlier this year...
Sorry to pop in the post, but when should you go to 1 step colder plugs? I'm about to install an intercooler, piping, intake, downpipe, and exhaust. I currently have the FP Tune. I appreciate it :D
I couldn't find anyone that had any in-stock. I ordered one through CVF last night. It should ship in a couple of weeks. They have 10% off sitewide right now.
This is great, I just received my black intercooler and piping from CVF, but they are out of the downpipe right now. I'm trying to find one to put it all on this weekend!! :(
I wonder what these will cost and when they are available. I have a soft top and tire noise is an issue. I've added a ton of sound deadening, but it doesn't really matter when the tops off.
