Good eye! They are indeed Metaltech. So far so good Iād say. We havenāt really tested them, but they havenāt budged in the slightest since our install. They work great as steps and the blend well, looking like they came with the Bronco.
Last weekend we did half the Mojave Road twice (first was a scout run for a large group we helped with) including a higher speed run than we would have normally done. Bronco handled with ease, better than our 4 door JL Rubicon did two years ago.
In other news, the wife wants to go to 35s now...
The weight capacity is certainly reduced as a result. They claim 120lbs dynamic, but I'm looking at closer to 100lbs. I'm used to similar racks from the Jeep world where they just sit on top of the fiberglass with the gutters to help with location. The on-top versions on Jeeps don't have any...
I literally just finished my install of this today. I'm curious to hear the same, but with the vertical mount and the fan, it should be fine. It's far enough (air wise) from the engine that I'm not expecting issues.
This post has a lot of details on testing the temperature of the compressor...
Itās from JCR: https://www.jcroffroad.com/product/BR6RK-S.html
It finally arrives tomorrow (fun lead times over there!) and I hope to install it this weekend.
My wife bought a 2 door Badlands about a month ago. My 4dr JL hasnāt been driven at all in that time as I keep stealing her Bronco. The Bronco is so much better on road and the 2 door is a great size. It canāt quite hold as much as the Jeep, but I also have drawers and a shelf in the rear of the...
Iām a big fan of AAL. I have their rear platform, shelf, drawers, fridge slider, fenders in my Jeep. Donāt try and predict timing based on their prototype announcements. It was around three years between them launching the rear section of their platform and the seat delete piece for their Jeep...
Can you convince them to make an attic that runs from behind the front seats all the way to the over the rear cargo compartment? I love attic nets, but theirs currently is only over the rear seats. Hmm, I wonder if I could just do twoā¦
Iām answering on behalf of my wife, as itās her Bronco. Iād say I get to drive it about half the time. I admit that Iām much less interested in my Jeep right nowā¦
Checking in for team two door. My wife wanted a brightly colored 2 door manual. We just happened to find a lightly used one (400ish miles) at a dealer on the other side of the US. Bought it over the phone and had it shipped. It arrived this week and sheās absolutely giddy with happiness so far...
I have Rock Monsters on my Jeep. They're /heavy/ wheels. Setting aside the strength of the wheels themselves, there's a lot of extra metal in all of the bolts involved. I'm not planning on getting a set for the Bronco because of the weight and I think they're way overkill unless you're going...
My wife knew exactly what she wanted. Given that Cyber Orange is no longer a thing, we found a used one with about 450 miles on it on the other side of the country. So we had it shipped from West Virginia to the Bay Area of California and it arrived today! It's surprising how much fun this is...
