Exactly! I spent a month with a youtuber (different genre than off-roading) and even he said "Doing stupid stuff gets views" when we were talking about channel growth and some of the things other, similar, channels were doing.
After more than a year and 27,500 Miles my average is 17.5, worst tank was 14.41, best tank was 19.98mpg. I also see a distinct drop in MPG during the cold weather months.

Keep in mind that Ford has turbos in most of their vehicles now. Including the ones driven by people who are not automotive enthusiasts. Realistically unless you're driving hard right to your front door slow driving through a neighbor hood will cool the turbos significantly from say highway...

It's not about "environmental contributions" it's about accuracy of data. If one person claims they are getting 20mpg based on the dash, and somebody else is "only" getting 19 or even lower it may be because their data sets are different. Because I'm slightly nerdy...
There are a few small things that I wouldn't mind seeing changed but the only thing that bugs me is the panel under the center of the dash above the USB ports keeps falling out and there is nothing for it to clip to.
They do both work, which is why I asked rather than assume. While I'm fairly good at word choice I still struggle a bit with grammar and where everything should go.
