The steps are still great. Even though I used some blue loctite, I still check for tightness of the hardware periodically. The poly still looks new. Also, the trim has not budged. I didn't figure it would since it was made as exterior automotive trim. I really can't think of anything I'd have...
I was thinking of long term durability as well but in dry Arizona it may last longer. The only other reasons I may go with something synthetic is that the wood may compress or expand over time and the fitment may suffer. Also, a piece of half inch treated wood may be almost as much as the $20...
Thanks! I think that is correct but just to make sure here is the link to the one I bought off of Amazon. Hope that helps

Thanks! I loved the look of the BRs but didn't really want -18 offset but once I added the Air Design flares they were perfect. I'll have to Google the glaciers!
Looks good. I know my 37s are the limit for fitting but I know all 37s are different diameter plus I have negative 18 offset wheels. If the steps are the only thing holding you back, I know you can take off the end cap and cut back the step and then reinstall the end cap to gain some extra room...
Can you tell me the size of the holes in the molle panel that you attached the cutting board bumpers to? I'm looking for the exact size to see what size nutsert would work. Thanks!
Looks perfect! I actually like the bolts you chose. And yeah, those clip nuts are a pain in the rear!! Definitely post some pics of the final product and your Bronco!!
Hate to hear that. I actually just used a miter saw from my wood shop with a 60-tooth general blade. It cut through it like butter and I didn't even have much scrap come off of it. Even with the kerf, the board was just right for my 3.5 x 3.5 squares.
I already had the Pelican for paddleboarding and kayaking so that's no issue. However, I'm a distance runner and definitely not carrying my phone and even a key fob can get uncomfortable after 20 miles. As far as theft goes, I'm pretty sure everyone has insurance but for me I don't want to have...
No noticeable difference. I was actually shocked at how nothing really felt much different than stock. I was really expecting a huge difference if for no other reason but the added unsprung weight.
I've had no issues. My phone is a metal plate, a Pelican box, a wallet, a Faraday bag, a key, and a phone case away though. I only put the contents in the reverse order in the pic so you could see what that box could hold. I'll update if I ever have any issues
That's what the Faraday bag is for. You can lock your fob in the Bronco by using your keypad and proximity doesn't work but if someone breaks in they can start and drive it if the key is inside unless it's blocked by that bag.
