I've been having the robotic voice and weird (loud) noise when the screen goes through a transition as well since that OTA update awhile back. Was hoping a resolution would be found by now but apparently not.
I have one of these and keep it installed most of the time. It is a handy step when I'm cleaning the top. I haven't used it other than that yet. I like the looks of it but definitely remove it if I'm going to do any off roading where departure angle matters.
Yes, they were noisy on all surfaces. I lubed them up but it didn't make it fully go away. It wasn't a huge issue but it was noticeable. I still run them disconnected all the time which eliminates the noise.
I have the RCI skids for my 2 door. With regards to oil changes, the engine and transmission skids are attached so you'll either have to loosen both or you probably could just remove the transmission skid. However, I also installed the Ronin drain plug so now I won't have to loosen them at...
The nuts that attach to the strut on the lower control arm are listed as single use. The RCI lower control arm skid attaches to these bolts. Even though I bought replacements, I reused the nuts and added some Loctite.
Very cool. Was the 5 (gulf side) paved the whole way? We drove down a few years ago and had to offroad about 30 crazy miles, in the rain, and we weren't in an offroad vehicle at the time.
You might be right. I may have some differences and/or am being too conservative.
I looked at the other diagram from that guide that matches the Wildtrak trim. Albeit, this picture shows with the modular bumper.

I bought this bar for my Wildtrak but decided not to install it after I realized it blocks a significant cooling area.

Not sure if this applies but the front skid off my Wildtrak with capable bumper would not fit on a basesquatch with the standard bumper. The recovery points are in different spots between the standard and capable bumpers. The skid covering the oil pan fit just fine though.
At the Off Roadeo I attended, we saw 29 degrees. However, the instructor went over and pushed on the Bronco and could've tipped it all the way. At least that's what it seemed like.
