  1. 2.7 top end noise

Hey guys, just got back from a drive in the bronco and had the hood up in the garage and noticed a noise in the top end of the motor.. Looking to see if anyone else has a similar noise or if this could be the beginning of the end of my 2.7. It was built at the tail end of the bad batch in the...
  2. Brake Fault (2.7L) Left Me Stranded - UPDATE - Failed Brake Booster

I had my brake booster go out after installing a lift and reconnecting the battery this summer. The lock up is the ABS module triggering the parking brake. If you have Forscan you can look up in the live data the line pressures of each wheel and then the main pressure at the booster. On mine...
  3. Bronco Fire / Meltdown From ABS Lockup Leading to Hydraulic Failure (Burst Brake Line) and Electrical Short?

No warning signs for me, fortunately it didn't happen when I was on the road. I was installing my Fabtech lift and after I reconnected the battery when I went to start it the dash lit up like a Christmas tree. The bronco would also apply the parking brake every time I would step on the pedal as...

Can confirm that All 2.7s have an electronic booster, I have an early '21 (Built mid July '21) and had the booster go out and it was fully electronic.
  5. Auto locking doors issue

You need to touch the lock pad on the door handle, or lock it with the fob.
  6. Mishimoto's Performance Intercooler R&D Thread

Seriously can't wait for this system to come on sale, my intercooler is anguishing behind my 12k winch.
  7. Anyone install Fabtech 4" inch spacer lift ?

I just put the 3" version on my Badlands, seemed pretty straight forward on the install and the parts were good quality. The only thing I would keep an eye out for is that they give you a new M14 nut for the Upper control arm pivot bolt, and a standard fine thread 9/16th nut for the ball joint...
  8. What did you do TO / WITH your Bronco today? 👨🏻‍🔧🧰🚿🛠

Luckily mine did this when it was still in the garage, so I never lost any braking capability while driving. And other good news is that the parts will actually come in over the weekend, so that part of the supply chain has some what healed itself.
  9. What did you do TO / WITH your Bronco today? 👨🏻‍🔧🧰🚿🛠

Not today, but Tuesday… dash was lighting up like a Christmas tree with brake problems, figured it was going to be a bad wheel speed sensor, but the dealer deduced that it needs a new electronic brake booster/ABS module.. so she’s out of commission for Labor Day weekend.
  10. HELP!!! Need to bleed brakes on a 2.7 but don't have scan tool

My problem is that I didn't have the battery disconnected, so the electronic booster pumped the system and basically emptied the entire reservoir.. So I'm concerned about what all needs to happen with ABS/Electronic Booster. Or if that is even possible without a scan tool
  11. HELP!!! Need to bleed brakes on a 2.7 but don't have scan tool

Has anyone with a 2.7 needed to bleed their brake yet? I made a huge mistake last night and long story short, needed to take a caliper off opening the system to air. Does anyone know if it's possible to bleed the electronically boosted brake system the old fashioned way or am I SOL and need to...
  12. Winch options?

I haven't ever heard of open road winches so I'm not familiar with what they're like.
  13. Winch options?

There's the name brand winches that everyone usually runs (Warn, Smittybuilt, Superwinch, etc.) but most of those are more expensive. For a cheap winch, I would say it's really hard to beat the Harbor Freight Badland Apex winch. It does only come in 12k lbs capacity, at least for the larger...

Checkout the JKS Max Clearance kit if you want to get rid of the crash bar mounts
  15. My adventure of installing the FabFours Premium Winch Bumper (spoiler: it was my own fault)

Colorado does have front plates, I'm planning on just running without one until I get in trouble. Ran without a front plate on my 17 GT mustang for 3.5 years without any issues, so we'll see how long it lasts on the bronco hahq.
  16. My adventure of installing the FabFours Premium Winch Bumper (spoiler: it was my own fault)

Here's a few pics I just grabbed in the garage. I had the angle wrong on my phone a bit, it's more like 7" from the front of the grill.
  17. My adventure of installing the FabFours Premium Winch Bumper (spoiler: it was my own fault)

Hey everyone, just thought I'd give you the anthology of what I went through to get the Fab Fours premium Winch bumper installed on my 21 Badlands. Spoiler alert, it all could have been fixed by actually going to get measurements myself. So, at the beginning I was planning on getting the...
  18. Bronco rear window flags: photos and info

When placed on a vehicle there are different rules for the orientation, the stars should be on the leading edge of the flag when on a vehicle, thus meaning always advancing and never a retreat.
