I have catch cans on my 5.0L Mustang and 2.3L Ranger. The Ranger is too new to know what happens in the winter, but never had issues with the Mustang (Minnesota winters). It does fill up a little faster in cold months but nothing earth shattering. I empty it every month instead of every oil...
I have lived in Minnesota my whole life and never have had problems with snow accumulation on any vehicle I’ve driven, ever. Literally just brush it off if it was parked outside overnight and you’re good to go.
Probably my Mustang GT. I love it but it guzzles too much gas and the 2.3L is powerful enough and way more efficient.
Oh and probably $30k on top of the trade-in value.
I’m going to figure out whether the 33s on the Badlands hold up to Minnesota winters. I’m a little worried they might be too wide to deal with deep snow on our unplowed roads, but it should be interesting.
RWD + snow = fun in any case.
The screen in the new Explorer is just as laggy so don’t bet on Ford fixing this.
If this is the “high level instrument cluster” listed as a standard feature in OBX and above I’d prefer some basic 1990s-level dash assuming it’s not laggy like this. Animations like this will get old after the...
I have a 2.3L Ranger. The 2.3L paired with the 10 speed can shift and boost very quickly. It is actually very good at passing lane heroics. I think the manual will be even better because you can keep it in boost RPMs more deliberately.
Does that even come with the Roush performance tune? That’s kind of a steep price compared to what you’d get aftermarket, stuff like custom key fob or gauge cluster is not worth money.
I’m not giving up my Ranger to get a Bronco, I want them both lol. Cool engine and platform but complete...

You’re probably more experienced wrenching than me. We had clearance issues that made it difficult to connect one of the new PCV hoses for the can. It’s extremely tight under the engine and you can barely see it. I had to run out to Autozone to buy a shop light and we found another small cable...
OTOH the $4500 jump to add Sasquatch to Black Diamond is still cheaper than the price increase to Badlands. That stabilizer bar disconnect is looking quite expensive at that rate, and of course the privilege of adding the High+ package.
I’m on the fence but I still think Black Diamond is the...
In the owners manual for my two Ford vehicles it says something to the effect of “for the first 1,000 miles drive normally at varied RPM ranges and avoid laboring the engine” which I take to mean “don’t be afraid to floor it here and there but also don’t tow 7,000 lbs”
I can’t imagine there’d...
