One thing annoys me on mine: when there is a stiff crosswind from the right the driver window breaks its seal at the top and that creates a whistling noise in my ear. Rare thing but when it happens its crazy annoying. Other than that, couldn't be happier.
This all looks amazing. I can't imagine all the effort it takes to put a kit like this together.
Is the steering solution going to be available if we already have another shock/coil setup?
I have an added static load of at least 400-600lbs of just added bumpers/winch/skid plates/sliders. I'd...
Never heard from them either, I just threw them on the back and called it done. I may put the washers front and back on one of them and just get a longer bolt if needed just for peace of mind. Bumper is still solid as a rock but winching and pulling will tell the tale.
Hey guys, just a data point here for you. I have a 23 badlands mod bumper/high package. I used the 0101 config and it worked fine and fogs are operational.
Thank you for the pic, that is helpful. My instinct was to do the exact same. From the instructions pic you just can't tell. No idea why they just don't have a download of the instructions with color photos. I also emailed ARB let's see if they get back to me.
@Valhalla So I am installing that bumper myself right now. In the pics it shows the bumper mounting bolts and it looks like the pics show the hardened washers on the bolts not the flange nuts. Did you see that when you did yours?
I agree. Also got to consider how you are using it. If going offroad you are putting more potential shock loading on the lever with the fulcrum being that hinge. Put a heavy wheel and 37" tire you are going to store a lot more energy to rotate on big bumps. I haven't gotten my new wheels yet so...
I calculated my new spare tire (hutchinson + 37") will be about 130lbs alone. I also would certainly like to add fuel and top tire case. I am a bit apprehensive on the hinge-based solution. I even debated on just carrying the tire with no wheel on the roof as the spare.
