Same. Pulled off the metal clip, used some 3M surface mounting tape, put it on the vertical surface directly above my Aux switches.
For me; $5 of tape > $330 Homelink visor mod.

If it’s the base system (non-B&O) then an 8” will not fit without modifications. The screw mounts are molded in; cutting them out for an 8” will mean mounting to a thin plastic box.
Any issues with Airflow for cooling when the 40" is installed on the Capable bumper? Driving a Wildtrak and page 17 of the Ford Accessory installation guide shows that as the yellow area for airflow issues "Loss of Engine Cooling Proportional to the Amount of Blockage."

Regardless of which top you have, or if you have it off, the Bronco is a LOUD soundstage on the road. Whatever you choose, it’s going to sound much different on the highway than in your garage. With that much road noise I would suggest you can go with good solid Alpine, Ininity, etc...
The nice thing is with both you can try out that 6.75 really easy as it drops right in. And then try the 8 if you need more. Good luck and let us know how it goes!
