I recently went to hang out with @Wickedbronco and got to install the @BroncBuster perch collar leveling lift. The install was all pretty smooth sailing - especially since he had a lift and experience replacing Bronco shocks.
We chose to drop the lower control arms to get the shocks out, which...
I forgot to mention that I added a Midland MXT275 GMRS radio with the MXTA25 Ghost antenna. To mount it, I used the @Mountains2Metal concealed radio bracket with a custom roll bar antenna bracket that I built.
For the Mic I used the Archetype Racing SLAP/BPM dash mount with their 1" B.A.L.L.S...
I've been trying to track down some intermittent rattling on my front, driver's side door and think I finally found the culprit.
It's this plastic plate behind the door handle.
Anyone else experience this? or know how this comes apart? It looks like there's a spot to pry on the top, but I...
I took the front passenger seat out of my 2-door to build a sleeping platform.
Each time you start the Bronco, you’re presented with a warning on the cluster that says: Rear Belt Monitor Fault. Service Required, which you can dismiss. After that you’ll have an airbag light and a little seatbelt...
the main issue with taking the front passenger seat out would probably be seatbelt + SRS airbag warnings on the dash, but that might be easily solved with the appropriate resistor(s).
i know that the rear seatbelt delete warnings can be solved by either leaving the buckle attached or adding a...
you're probably gonna get a seatbelt warning as well. when removing the rear seats, i believe that a 2.4 ohm resistor on the wiring harnesses solves that warning. i wonder if the same resistor(s) would work on the front passenger seat.
anyone brave enough to test the airbag electronics? :D
I haven’t really had an opportunity to get off pavement since installing them, but I will soon. imo 0-offset is the perfect amount of poke on the Sasquatch package. A little more aggressive without being obnoxious.
For extended spare tire bump stops, I picked up the Fishbone off-road Wrangler JK bump stops and modified em to work with the Bronco.
I simply cut the original rubber tabs off and used the clips from the OEM bump stops by drilling a 1/4" hole through the center.
The rubber at the base of the...
After months of deliberation, I finally decided to grab a set of @Vorsteiner (Venomrex) VR-601BL wheels in Tungsten Graphite, with a set of BF Goodrich KO2s 315/70R17 tires (C-load, S-speed).
We do some long hauls pulling our tiny camper, so gas mileage and comfort was a priority for me. The...
I made a custom bracket to mount a ghost antenna above the rear speakers and then routed the antenna wire along the rollbar above the airbags to a radio mounted behind the glovebox.
More info on my install here
I'm certainly not the first to do a stealthy GMRS radio install on a Bronco, but I just wanted to share my version.
My goals were pretty simple. I wanted more power than my handheld, I didn't wanna mess with batteries, and I wanted the system to be as concealed / out of the way as possible ...
I just wanted to follow up on what may be the best customer service that I've ever gotten on an aftermarket accessory.
After my review above, Mark, the owner of @Metal-tech 4x4 DM'd me, emailed me, and gave me his personal cell phone number. He thoroughly talked through their processes and...
