Odd. I wonder when the actual changeover happened? I bought a dealer-ordered MY23 OBX last month with cloth seats that has a March build date. It must be a recent development.
Honestly, the Outer Banks seems like them most bang for your buck. Youāre getting a very capable vehicle with a good number of creature comforts at what I think is a reasonable price, or at least I thought that way when I bought mine.
Iām not gonna lie, I was looking for a 4 door, but I saw that one and had to check it out. Salesman said theyād sell it at MSRP, numbers fell in-line, and I took it home.

Thereās a rumor Jeep is killing off the 2 door Wrangler around 2026 in favor of an extended 7 seat Unlimited. Not sure how true it is, but if Ford uses the same thinking they did with the Mustang, the 2 door Bronco should be around for a while still.
