Exactly what I did. At the time that I was looking, I had a hard time finding the C load KO2 in a 35”. There weren’t a lot of options of C load 35” tires at all. And if you start comparing the D rated versions of those tires it looks different. If I remember, there’s not even a D rated KO2 - I...
They are fine but not great on wet pavement. I make sure I don’t have to pull out from a side road too quickly and give myself more stopping time. Otherwise no complaints.
It’s worth pointing out that the RT Trail is -not- snowflake rated, if that matters to anyone.
I completely agree about...
I don’t have a ton of time on the KO2 but I did drive a Badlands equipped with them at Off Roadeo and mine did come with them stock. I changed them out almost immediately for the RT Trails - but only because I was going to 35s and was having a hard time sourcing the KO2. I’m glad I did, I like...
Yes, stiffer but more comfortable, if that makes sense at all. I do experience a sort of reverse brake dive when I reverse out of my garage in the morning. It squats a bit in the rear but quickly normalizes. I’ve taken them off road once and thought it was great. The only time I’ve taken the 2.0...
I did start by looking for KO2s. I like those tires but had a really hard time finding 5 of them in the right rating at the time. I dig the RT trails though. The traction has been good, they ride well, the weight isn’t too bad, and I think they look great.
Looks great! Yeah, I went with the lower clips for all the same reasons as you. Those tech 6 wheels look good - they were on my list for sure. I really think the extra width of the 315/70r17 tires do a lot for the overall look, too.
I’m very happy with mine. The 2nd clip gave me slightly more height than Sasquatch (but noticeable) although if I were to do it over, I’d probably go to the the 3rd. No real reason, and not worth doing over.
100% agree. I had the same experience but was even luckier in that there were only two broncos in my off-rodeo group. Can’t recommend it enough. I went to Moab but my (Moab-based) instructor said her favorite location was the one in Texas.
Just to follow up, I misread the thread earlier. I haven’t checked to see if there was a Ford update at the same time but I’m almost positive my issues were due to an iOS update.
Mine wouldn’t reconnect to CarPlay after turning off the Bronco. It would recognize my phone but couldn’t find CarPlay until I restarted the phone. It started working correctly again after deleting the bronco from my phone and my phone from the bronco, then setting up CarPlay again. Takes a few...
That’s really weird. I’d look the instructions up online and see if they’ve got different measurements in the updated instructions. That screenshot definitely has the wrong numbers for the 6100s and they’ve corrected it in revised documents.
Van Deren cabin is a great little drive. Super fun trail that didn’t get a lot of traffic, at least when we were there. Definitely a highlight of our Sedona trip. Glad you found it!
We did Schnebly too and it was…fatiguing, I guess. Definitely rough but not technical or difficult. Busy too but...
@V1Rotate can confirm. Made my way down to the bridge and back yesterday, decent number of people out, in good shape and lots of fun. The bridge gate is open so it’s possible to keep going. I ran into a guy on his way back from an overnight at the state line.
I was not. I talked with a guy at Icon about it, he seemed to forget about me for a couple weeks, and then got back to me with “hit it harder with a dead blow hammer instead of a rubber mallet” which doesn’t seem like the best answer... In the meantime I’d already returned them.
I also ordered...
I had replied to another thread somewhere and can confirm that Bilstein updated their instructions sometime after my 6100s were packaged up. The lift heights listed online appear to be correct. Anyone considering them or wanting an accurate lift height should definitely pull the new pdfs.
I...
