I just installed my Ford performance kit this weekend and used your video, it was extremely helpful. I appreciate you. I also stripped a recovery bolt hole and did what you did with a couple hardened nuts.
I installed camera relocation kit and a factor 55 shackle mount, but it looks a little...
Also using a quality heat shrink with glue inside can help keep a questionable connection secure, but you should always give your crimps a good tug before trusting them.
It almost sounds like you might’ve pulled a wire from a bad crimp when you were trying to hide the wires. Sometimes it can seem like you have a good strong crimp on a connection but with a little tug it can come out. Good quality crimpers make a huge difference.
I’m no expert but I have installed my own lights as well as other things, and I know you said you checked your connections but I would double check your grounds, also inspect the wires for shorts. Can you smell anything electrical burning under the hood? Maybe try wiggling the wires/grounds...
Well, I just pulled the trigger on that. Is everybody sure that Ford didn’t change out the Zeon for the Evo? I couldn’t find anywhere that it said Zeon.

It was good time, for sure. I believe you’re right about the snake.
It sounds like you were busy getting things done. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. A man’s work is never done.
