The answer is maybe. I wheel in the snow often. I usually use chains when it is, or when it is going to turn to ice, especially on steeper slopes.. The video highlights the fun, but there were places we were digging down to and into frozen dirt to keep moving. The chains definitely kept us...
My rig is packed with recovery and emergency gear! I usually am aired down and then install chains if needed, since we were going to be pushing snow all day, I kept them aired up to dig better.
You can’t really tell the chains are there in the snow. We installed them on a plowed road 1/4 mile away, so you definitely get a rhythmic vibration on the gravel road. It helps to remind you to keep your speed down.
A couple of us hit the mountains looking for the fresh couple feet of powder that fell the day before. Blue skies and fresh powder makes for a great wheeling trip.
I have the same issue. Intermittent for a week or so (always worked for the camera) and finally failed just like yours on the same side. Just sent a message their way and hoping for the same resolution! Thanks for the info.
I spend a little time on the Dome Plateau trail over the last two years and had put together some videos from my time out there. Here is the first one; aerial footage of the Broncos running out to the overlook and back.
Follow the well-worn line and you won’t have any issues. 2 seater will be a little more exciting than a 4 seater. I would pull up and watch a couple rigs climb it, give a camera/phone to someone to record your climb and make the run. When I am around I like to record it on my drone and send them...
I recently added the IAG interior light kit, Bronco Buster bushing and the Icon upgraded tie rods. My rear skids are built and getting powder coated as well
I took my friends wheeling on some pretty cool trails the other day. It had rained and snowed the night before. All the Broncos were slipping a good bit before we even hit the steep stuff. I gave a pair of chains to each of the others and we cruised effortlessly down and back up the trail...
I have been running them on my FE while on my 35" tires and after a 3" lift, on 37s. I had to notch my rear crash bars for clearance on the 37s and chains.. If I am fully loaded and I stuff a rear tire, I can hear a slight scrape up against my rear inner fender liner. With zero-offset wheels...
The directions are provided online (the QR code included will take your directly to them). They are quite clear and easily followed.
One thing that isn't mentioned anywhere and I fought for a minute is you cannot have both cables (usb to PC and DLC connector cable) connected at the same time...
