I just think they have very little brand equity when it comes to the Lincoln name. If they truly want the Bronco brand to be its own thing, I think they would be better off building a higher trim level Bronco.
Pairing the MT with the 2.3L allows Ford to offer a Base model at $28.5k. Just from that perspective, it was a no-brainer regardless of the take rate on MT. I'm sure the business case for developing it in the 2.7L is a bit murkier.
I ordered a 2015 Mustang GT back in the summer of 2014 shortly after the order banks had opened for that one. I had planned to wait a year, but my G35 had taken a dump just past the powertrain warranty and I needed a car.
I took delivery ~3 months later and kept that car for 4 years. Zero...
It did work that way on the Mustang although I did use that feature less often. I guess I was more paranoid that I was locking the car before leaving it lol
The 2-door Intelligent Access is a big one for me. I hate fishing around in my pocket for the key FOB just to unlock the doors, especially in the winter when you're wearing gloves.
Oh, I'm totally a rookie. I've wanted a Bronco since I drove my first one back in '95. By the time I could afford one, they were long gone. I've been waiting patiently since they first teased this thing!
How old does the account need to be in order to have an opinion here anyway?
To answer the question:
1. Going topless/doorless for the 3 months of nice-ish weather we get here.
2. Vinyl/washout interior. My dogs shed like crazy!
3. Annoying the local Jeepers.
I haven't memorized every option on every one of the trims, but it feels like they have more options than needed. I'd maybe combine the Big Bend and Outer Banks into one model with multiple packages for upgrades. Maybe the hardcore off-road version is the BD with packages that branch off into...
Alma here but I expect I'll be living in the GR area by the time I take delivery. I reserved a 2DR Black Diamond but am considering going up to Badlands when it comes time to place my order.
