I’ve been involved in manufacturing, fabrication and construction for a couple of decades or so. Specifically regarding welding and allied processes. The only definitive thing I can tell you is that our whole world is held together with “Tots and Pears”. I’m not religious, but it’s a miracle it...
The first thing that needed to be done was identifying the base material as best possible. That would guide every decision moving forward (process, filler metal, joint design, pre/in-process/post welding needs, etc). Shooting from the hip here, if you brought that to me in its current state, I...
My god that’s awful. Welding cast isn’t dramatically different than welding steel (although cast is a widely used term full of nuances), it just typically pre-weld and post-weld procedures to avoid cracking related to stress. With modern filler metal options available for nearly every process...
I’ll add (sorry if anyone already mentioned this and I missed it), while I’m not an “anyone” kind of guy, I’ll admit something about why I’ve owned 3 Fords in a row. I attribute it to my…cough age cough lol. I’ve always been a guy who loves tech and innovation, but damn I’m getting tired of...
Yeah, by the time I got a reply, I had ordered the Westin. Waiting on some last pieces to my project, then I’ll coat the brush guard, rough country high mount winch plate, and Lobo brace with Raptor brand bedliner/epoxy and mount it all up. Should be a long project.
I’ve got to say, it’s a great kit/mount. The instructions were very good, the install is well thought out and very easy, and being stainless and powder coated is an excellent detail for those of us living in corrosive environments. Overall I consider it a good value.
Hello,
Somehow, I ordered two. Unfortunately the vendor refuses to take back any electronic items (last time I’ll use this vendor), even though it was still sealed in their shipping package. The picture shows it’s still sealed in the factory box. Anyway, $190 shipped CONUS. Don’t hesitate...
More details? Personally, I really appreciate when people share posts like this. I know with the proliferation of internet couch captain off-roading experts it often becomes an exercise in frustration, but I find there’s always something to learn from them. Thank you.
I agree. Bambu has nearly accomplished the goal many have been hoping to achieve for over a decade. A cost effective 3D printer for people who just want to print, not tinker. I’ve been a fan of Prusa for some time as well, but Bambu has certainly eaten their lunch lately lol. I have a Raise3d...
The only caveat I might add to that excellent statement is this; if possible, for your first printer do your research. There’s been lively debate in the community these past couple of years about the number of people who buy the cheapest (and often unsupported) printer possible, have tons of...
Vanguard has both options for their rack:

Thank you for the reply. Mine seem to be pressing in consistently on both sides, and I rarely open and close it, so I’ll keep an eye on the issue. I’ll also investigate your recommendation of attempting to adjust the glass. Maybe when the wiper is available I’ll attempt it all at once.
I’m constantly hunting rattles and squeaks so this isn’t necessarily one of the challenges I have with my TOR, but what about the area where the upper section of the struts dig into the rubber gasket for the rear window? The same place others have shown a tear in pics here. Mine are definitely...
That looks amazing. That’s got to take the prize. I love the BD light bar also. You can still reach everything you need to with it mounted? I would definitely consider it an option, but I really don’t want to relocate my ACC. I moved it in my F250 and while it worked, never as well as it did in...
I bought that for the MIC 2.0 that I had originally on my Bronco. While the light was nice and bright, I was pretty disappointed by how poorly it fit. I also noticed that there are numerous companies selling what appears to be the same item at much less money, so do your research if it does end...
In the formal handgun training/CCW classes I’ve attended, it’s consistently taught that the legal fees associated with mounting a legal defense typically exceeds the value of the property being protected. No matter how cut and dry you think your actions are, there’s still a legal process that...
