All in good fun. They actually look like good covers. I kinda pinched the idea from a Jeep friend that is a hockey player. He had the NHL logo on his tire cover.
I don't doubt the bad press regarding mechanical issues and Ford's unenthusiastic corrective responses help are not helping. I've heard the "why you buying a Bronco? I haven't heard good things" from friends. My response is along the lines of; "why you driving a Silverado? Crappiest truck in...
So very true. My wife was rear ended years ago. She went from someone that loved to drive and was good at it to someone that doesn't like to drive and is constantly afraid when she does. The little sh** that hit her had a new BMW a week later. I think many bad thoughts about that kid.
If he's improving lower RPM torque, which IMO should be the goal in any 4x4, then what he's doing is helpful for many in the community. Even tortoises. It's all about pedal input and gearing. Now if his end goal is mud bogging that's a whole different game.
The CVF pipe smoothing out those 2 ugly 90º bends by themselves is probably worth the price of admission. I'm not familiar with CVF. Looks like they make good products. Do they have a good rep?
Thanks much for the additional info. Now I'm off to read your CVF Hot and Cold pipes post. The pipes and IC I'm thinking will be very helpful added to the Ford Performance tune. The bump in boost will definitely be helped with the mods you have. I'm new to the community and many folks here are...
Seeing an IAT drop of Xº is nice but it is also a measurement in isolation. You really want to see ambient, pre IC, post IC and IAT. Same day, same ambient temps, same humidity but one run facing head winds vs another run with tail winds will skew your data. Regarding the oft asked heat soak...
A number of brake issues can be corrected by properly bedding in your brakes. Brake squeal, pulsing and less than optimal bite. I'm not saying this will fix the OP's issue just tossing it out there because no one mentioned it. While the article kind of implies this it's worth calling out...
"E85 will produce more power but less MPG than gasoline" is the issue in a nutshell. Ethanol is less energy dense but runs cooler which has performance advantages. A less power per gallon solution needs to be cost effective. I don't have anything that runs E85 so I have to ask, is E85 cheap...
What Gank is saying is; Spacers, especially spacers that thick, create undue stress on your wheel bearings. Same is true on cars. If you want tires that poke out absurdly far to make sure the rocks you tires throw hit other vehicles work with wheel offset. Like everything what are you willing to...
Better than Weathertech Floorliners or their All Weather floor mats? I prefer the All Weather. Just wondering if the 25% higher price is worth buying the Husky. Thanks
Anyone have an idea how long it takes for the FPT to be available for a new model year? I have a '24 coming and I'd like to have it done at delivery or soon there after. Reality may impact my plans ;)
To be accurate, by "tuner" I meant anything of any displacement. Where db concerns are minimal and exhaust flow concerns are maximized. RC cars to Semis.
It's not just Ford. By a Ram truck. I have one and love it BTW. I think the auto industry has learned this tactic from video game micro transactions. Wallet death by a thousand cuts.
The overcrowding will only get worse as Congress gives itself more power to sell off Public Lands. Sooner or later you'll be seeing; Welcome to Comcast Yellowstone National Park...
