I do not have experience with the RC sliders, but if you are thinking you need frame mounted ones in a couple years, just get them now. There are options that will work as a step and slider as well. I have RCI frame mount sliders, at the 20 degree angle it still can be used as a step, 5 degree...
Glad I found this thread, thinking of Forscan to change tire size later on, and was wondering if I should/needed to reset it to stock before taking it in to a dealer for any service. Don't think I will now. :)
Wasn't sure of they would see the change, and throw a fit.
Any updates @Jwells104 ? I'm about to pull the trigger on this kit myself. I'll be keeping stock rims/tires for now, and upgrade to 35's later, but maybe 37's. I don't plan on aftermarket rims tho, I actually like these stockers.
I was just looking at these today! Added to my cart, but did not pull the trigger yet.
Are they as easy to install as it looks like, no removing any bolts on the shock, it just fits around it?
That is exactly why you should mount 2 on the spare tire, and 6-8 on an overhead rack. Roughly 30 gallons of gas will get you back out safely. lol
There is a really decked out Tundra a couple streets over from me. I mean, it does look incredible, has probably every off road part/gadget you can...
Did you use Forescan or a tuner type thing to adjust for the larger tires? If not, your speedometer and MPG will be off, and MPG could be better than you think (a little).
Damnit, I didn't see the other posts asking this question, lol. ignore this! o_O
Funny, I just went and filed up my WT, and got exactly 16.7 MPG hand calculated. The lie-o-meter said 17.5 (15,500 miles). This was 85% in town driving, but in Texas, half of in town is still a highway, lol.
